Fort Coastal Cottage

Tired of using so much of your settlement budget building a defensible perimeter? I did.
So now I use my settlements as my perimeter. I know of the mod to expand the settlement budget, but I saw it as a challenge to make all of my 'Forts' keep within the game budget using only what I actually scrounged.

This 'Fort' has -

  • 20 Beds
  • 24 Water (Better Generators )
  • 20+ Food
  • Defense 176
  • 4 Stores
  • All crafting workbenches

Required Mods

Transfer Settlements
Better Vendor Stalls

Recommended Mods

Better Generators
Longer Power Lines
Clean Beds

Additional Fort Coastal Cottage Notes

You will need to use Spring Cleaning, or similar mod, to remove the everything except for fire bin from the front porch. It fits in rather nicely. (See last screen capture) If you have played this game without any mods you will know it is easily the worst location for a settlement.. EVER!

I have no idea what Bugthesda were thinking... considering the fishery within view of this location would be a much better site for any person to establish a settlement that had more brains than a Ghoul. :)

The main problems with Coastal Cottage, apart from it being at the hind end of the Commonwealth, is your provisioner bringing mobs to you (Gunners) and the Mirelurk Queen spawn. Both are handled pretty easily in this configuration.

Be aware that there is a 'Deathclaw' spawn to the north. It seems to really like Yao Guai meat. ;)

Installation

The folder needs to be extracted and placed in your 'Transfer Settlements' folder. 7zip

If you like this design could you hit that little 'Endorse' button for me? I would really appreciate it. :)
My other 'Vanilla' Blueprints.
None of my blueprints are designed to be pretty...  :)
What they are designed to be is to not require all DLC, two mods maximum required, easily defensible,
stay within the 'Vanilla' game budget and have everything you need.
