Had been using this mod for years now, but what this mod needs are sound effects when enabling and disabling the vision modes and then this mod is perfect. Really nice mod and very customizable.
I like the mod but Science 3 is a level 28 perk. That's a long time to wait to use the mod. I edit mine to set it to Science 1 allowing it to be used much earlier.
First, I love this mod. I use the hellfire armour and I think it's essential cause the headlamp for the hellfire armour is as weak as balls. I might be just an idiot though cause I can't use the toggle switch to turn the night vision off, only on. To turn off night vision, I have to open my pip-boy and unequip the device from apparel. Can anyone give me a hand with this cause I'd like to use the toggle in a quickslot for an Xbox One controller.
Can i uninstal this midgame?I want to try but to realy wont play few hours and then get to old saves when something goes wrong  Anyway this mod looks verry promissing, exactly how i like it...small,simple and functioning
The problem seems to be with the old toggle items in the Aid menu. Using them with or without assigning a favorites key and the NV doesn't turn off. The MCM support that assigned a key works just fine.
Yeah, I was using my xbox one controller for this mod(on PC), was surprised when the night vision didnt function like it did on Xbox One
Now I want an elite controller so I can keybind buttons I dont use..maybe keyboard or mouse will work fine...
Is it possible to craft an aid item, that when activated only functions as a passthrough? As in when aid item is pressed, it then uses a keybind for the NV?
If anyone is using an Elite controller with this mod and MCM the issue, at least in my experience, with the aid items not working seems to be that this mod WANTS an MCM hotkey. Unplugging the controller and assigning a hotkey and using said hotkey works as intended, it even worked when the controller was plugged back in. A better option would be specifically for controller users reWASD. It's a free program that can map keyboard buttons to your controller allowing you to either map a keyboard button to the rear paddles, or turn off a button on the front and replace it with whichever key you pick. If you want to get really clever you can even map a button or trigger on the controller to have BOTH a function from the keyboard and controller setups. Hope this helps people trying to use hotkeys with a controller.

Aha, I know...
I'll booby trap a corridor with remote explosives and saw blades traps. Set up the laser tripwires and laser turrets. Maybe even throw around a few spider mines, trapfu mines and bouncy traps for chaotic dismembering mayhem. Then I lure my enemies. I wait and watch as they trigger my contraptions, all hell breaks loose, and as the blood and gore explode in glorious kabooms, I zoom in to snipe headshots at the stragglers as more enemies pour in, and I trigger VATS and watch my limbs get blown off in slo-mo stupefaction, as my dying gurgling cackles of glee echooo along with the boooms reverberating across the corridor of doom. *MUA HA HA HA, BOOM BOOM BOOM*
Heartily endorsed.
