About this mod
1678 Days in the making, 5000 hours of work, my personal Opus Magnum: Picta - Weathers of Aurbis is finally released!
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
- Donations
Picta - Weathers of Aurbis is the most advanced Weather Mod and ENB Preset to date, featuring believable, fantastical but still fitting visuals.
This is all made possible with Silent Horizons 2 - Shader, which is the best that is possible for ENB on a technical level.
Weather Variety
- With over 100 unique Weather Types that have been created with utmost care to assure that every single second is a cinematic masterpiece.
Regional Variety
- Regional Weather (Color) Variation and Chances make each Region feel distinct without breaking the cohesive Region to Region experience.
Advanced Cloud System
- A new cloud system using Panoramic Cloud Textures provides an ethereal experience to the Skies of Aurbis, this system also allows for seamless blending between Fog and Sky, permanently eliminating well known "Horizon Seam".
- [Installation] -
(READ EACH STEP CAREFULLY, NOT EVERYTHING IS THE SAME)
Step 1: Enhanced Volumetric Lighting and Sun Shadows
The optional Skyrim Underside File is not needed if you plan to run Dyndolod and generate Underside(s) with it (you should).
Step 2: LUX
Make sure to grab the LUX Via Resources (or LUX Via if you are using it) from the links on the LUX Modpage for it to function.
Also check out the Patch Hub for any Patches.
Step 3: Lux Orbis
Make sure to grab the LUX Via Resources (or LUX Via if you are using it) from the links on the LUX Modpage for it to function.
Also check out the Patch Hub for any Patches.
Step 4: KreatE
Make sure to get the requirements listed on the Modpage and to get the correct file for the Skyrim Version you are running.
Step 5: Picta - Weathers of Aurbis - [ Weather Mod ]
Step 6: ENB Helper SE
DO NOT USE ENB HELPER PLUS WITH PICTA REALIS, that is an entirely diffrent Mod.
Step 7: KiLoader
Step 8: ENB Extender For Skyrim
Step 9: ENB Worldspace Weatherlists
Step 10: ENBSeries
Once you have downloaded the file, extract the d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46e.dll files from the Wrapper Folder of the Archive and move them manually into your Skyrim Main/Root Folder (where SkyrimSE.exe is located).
DO NOT USE THE ROOT BUILDER MOD FOR THIS, it is not recommended with Picta Realis. This must be done manually.
Step 11: Silent Horizons 2 - Shader Core
DO NOT USE YOUR MOD MANAGER and make sure you use the Mod linked and NOT Silent Horizon 2 - Universal Core as they are different.
Step 12: Picta - Weathers of Aurbis - [ ENB ]
- [Recommeneded Mods] -
(These are recommended to be installed, Picta was designed around them but are
not ultimately required. Other Mods may not look right)
Embers XD
Realistic Water Two SE or Water for ENB both work.
Skygazer Moons
Rally's Celestial Canvas (Using Auroras only)
- [Load Order] -
Picta - Weathers of Aurbis.esm doesn't matter where it's loaded
Make sure that Picta - Weathers of Skyrim.esp loads as late as possible including after Dyndolod.esp
Load any Patches after Picta - Weathers of Skyrim.esp
- [Compatibility] -
Other Weather Mods or ENBs are not compatible...duh
Cloud Texture Mods won't do anything, Picta uses it's own Cloud System and Textures
Stars and Moon Textures are compatible, Picta so far doesn't have it's own
Picta Series - Improved Sky Meshes is already included and thus incompatible
Picta is NOT compatible with Community Shaders.
Under no circumstances will I ever support or make Picta compatible with Community Shaders.
- [Unoffical Patches] -
These Patches are not made or maintained by me but I confirmed their functionality upon their inital Upload, if you have issue with these Patches ask the Author of these Patches and not me.
Picta Realis - Water for ENB Shades of Skyrim and Lux Patch
- [Performance] -
According to Users Performance is quite good. Expect a 5 - 10 FPS loss.
If it's a lot more than that please report it.
- [Known Issues] -
None besides the obvious ones
- [Credits] -
