If you have an issue (especially if it's a Visual one) please provide Images so I can provide better support, simply stating something is to dark for example doesn't help me.
Download and install Lux with your manager. Make sure to grab the Via resources(or Lux Via if you are using it) from the links on the lux page for it to function. Also check out the patch hub for any patches.
Step 3, Lux Orbis (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/56095)
Download and install Lux Orbis with your manager, also requires the resources from Via and has a patch hub linked on its page.
Download and install KreatE with your mod manager, make sure to get the requirements listed on its page and to get the correct file for the Skyrim version you are running.
Step 5, Picta Part 1(of 3) Weather (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/115532?tab=files)
Download and install the Picta Realis - Weather Mod file from this page and install it with your mod manager.
Step 6, Picta Part 2(of 3) Light Fix (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/115532?tab=files)
Download and install the Picta Better FX Lights file as a new mod with your mod manager. Vortex and MO2 users read the Weird FX Lights spoiler.
Step 7, ENB Helper SE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23174?tab=description)
Download and install the ENB Helper mod, make sure to get the right version for your Skyrim and make sure it is the linked enb helper. DO NOT USE ENB HELPER PLUS WITH PICTA, that is an entirely diffrent mod.
Download and install KiLoader with your mod manager.
Step 9, ENBseries (http://enbdev.com/)
Hit News on the bottom of the page, then navigate to download on the left, scroll down until you see TES Skyrim SE, click it, then click on the highest version listed available on the bottom of the page(it IS a download link). Once you have downloaded the file, extract the d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46e.dll files from the wrapper folder of the archive and move them manually into your main skyrim folder(where SkyrimSE.exe is located). Do not use the Root Builder mod, it is not recommended with Picta. This must be done manually.
Step 10, ENB Extender For Skyrim (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/99406?tab=files)
Install The ENB Extender for Skyrim mod with your mod manager.
MANUALLY install the SH2 Shader core to your MAIN SKYRIM FOLDER just like you did with ENB. DO NOT USE YOUR MOD MANAGER and make sure you use the mod linked and not the Universal Core mod as they are different.
Install the ENB Worldspace Weatherlists mod with your mod manager.
Step 13, Picta Part 2(of 3) ENB
Download and MANUALLY install the Picta Realis-ENB file on this page to your MAIN SKYRIM FOLDER, overwriting anything if asked.
Step 14, Picta for Life
Once in game remember to set the Kreate preset. Open Kreate (END by default) and click the little arrow on the top of the screen. Select Presets and then select the one you installed earlier. That should be it, yay! If weathers look off when loading in to interiors type RCC into the console(~) and hit enter, this will be fixed in later versions. Have fun!
Fixes for common issues:
Dark interiors and/or weird exteriors
Spoiler:
Show
For people with weird overly dark interiors or weird looking exteriors that don't look like the screenshots who have installed Picta mid game, try this. Exit to an exterior. Type "rcc" into the console. This will force a valid Picta weather type. Enter your interior. It should look better. Exit again and save your game.
If this doesn't help, Picta and/or its requirements have been installed incorrectly. Completely uninstall both Picta and requirements and reinstall.
ENB Helper
Spoiler:
Show
Several users have mentioned using ENB Helper Plus. Picta Realis requires ENB Helper. If reporting an issue, please make that you are using the correct requirements including the correct version of ENB Hepler.

How to Fix FX Lights with KreatE Optional File for Mod Organizer 2 users:
Installing the Optional File:
Treat the optional file as a separate mod. Do not merge it with the primary weather mod file.
Creating the Necessary Folders:
Within the folder where the mod is located, create a new folder named "KreatE."
Inside the "KreatE" folder, generate another folder titled "Presets."
Within the "Presets" folder, create a new folder with a name of your choice.I'll name it "Picta Realis - Better FX Lights."
Move the Files:
Transfer all the files from the mod into this newly created folder.
Final Structure:
Your directory should now resemble the following:
mod folder
KreatE folder
Presets folder
Last folder (contains all mod files)
The very shiny lights should be gone now. I tested with a minimal load order and it works
It's even easier for Vortex users:
Download and install the optional Kreate file normally. Don't deploy yet.
Right click on the file and hit "open with mod manager".
Drill to the data folder.
Copy/cut the "Kreate" folder (within the data folder) and paste it at the top level.
Delete the now redundant "Picta Realis - Better FX Lights" folder. You should only have the "Kreate" folder and its contents.
Deploy. If done correctly, you'll see the Picta Realis - Better FX Lights "files" (really hard links) at \Data\KreatE\Presets.

It’s a setting in the ENB gui under developer tools. You can turn it off there. Will require a game restart.
Please CAREFULLY read the instructions for all required mods. They are not all installed the usual way. If things don't look right it is probably that one of the requirements got installed wrong.
I've been testing it for quite some time now and it doesn't seem to matter. The game just crashes a lot. Just in case, I went back to the NAT weather I was using and the game doesn't crash. Also, just in case, I changed to a different weather mode and the game doesn't crash. There seems to be a bit of a problem with the file But the visuals I saw in the game are really fantastic. I hope this issue is fixed so I can use it.
Okay, I'll ignore the error and try to figure out what's causing my game to crash. Thanks a lot for your reply. This mod really makes the weather look natural and really takes Skyrim's visuals to the next level. I really appreciate your work. If you have time, can I ask you one more thing?? https://imgur.com/J3kszE3 Is this moonlight border intentional?? Or did I do something wrong?
Just wondering if this is intentional or not. From my Dyndolod log: Error: File not found scripts\picacti "unique weather activator".pex Picta - Weathers of Aurbis.esm PIC-ACTI "Unique Weather Activator" [ACTI:0A16A001] Noticed you also have 2 source scripts but no actual scripts in the download.
I'm having an issue where Picta's weather mod is causing extreme blurriness and I cannot see a thing. I know I have everything installed correctly but I cannot figure out why this is happening. I have it installed on a Wabbajack Modlist
I installed everything as needed, after removing the mods associated with the community shaders and this mod itself, I selected all the necessary patches in the suite, manually installed everything correctly, the game starts, but as soon as I want to load a save or start a new game, everything crashes, loot says that everything is fine and does not complain
Hi, thank you for this great mod, to my knowledge it is one of the first to leverage ENB Sky and Cloud Scattering.
Not to be nitty gritty, but I inspected the Picta Aurbis .esm file and in the Weather forms it contains some references to NAT III and Vivid Weather textures, I think you would probably want to remove such references or credit the respective mod authors in your perms if you based your plugin off of their work?
It’s leftovers from development when I still used or considered Assets from those Mods, however that is no longer the case and Picta was never based off other Mods
