What is LoreRim?
LoreRim is my vision to turn Skyrim into both a modern action game as well as re-introduce roleplaying mechanics through the integration of many of EnaiSiaion's (EnaiRim) Mods, Requiem - The Roleplaying Overhaul as well as HUNDREDS of custom addons, patches & more. This modlist will automatically install for you through the use of Wabbajack. Most importantly, EVERY single aspect of the game has been overhauled and modernized. This is Skyrim in 2024. Cities are bigger. Forests are lush. Enemies and areas from previous games are re-introduced. Here are some of the most important mods you should know about:

- Modern Combat, Animations & Gameplay
LoreRim features the best combat mechanics currently available. Using Maxsu's fork of Attack - MCO-DXP, Maxsu Poise, Stances, Precision, SCAR, Combat Pathing Revolution, etc - third person combat has never felt so satisfying. More about first person? LoreRim has you covered! First person also has unique stance animations and mechanics. You can dodge and perform bow dodge shots in first person. Many of the flashier mods such as Rapid Bow Combo have been taken down a notch and custom perk-locked so that you don't feel overwhelmingly powerful early on. Finally, every setting has been tweaked to perfection so that your attacks have weight. Each hit will feel visceral. Each move you make matters.

- Visuals, Atmosphere & World
From the rolling tundra of Whiterun, the frigid glaciers of Winterhold, the mysterious depths of Blackreach - everything in LoreRim is modernized. Trying to stay true to Skyrim's tone of regional biomes, each hold should feel unique and diverse. Textures and Meshes were handpicked between literally hundreds of graphical mods. Each city and town is now much larger and great care has been taken to make nothing look "out of place". Finally, many new world additions will dot the landscape, filling in the gaps of otherwise empty space. Some notable graphical mods are: Atlantean, Riton and Tomato's Landscapes. NAT3 Weather. Lux, Lux Via, Lux Orbis. Several ENB options including Dawnfire, Cabbage, Amon, Rudy. Along with all of these changes, the world is more immersive and interactable than ever. Find hidden treasures, pet a dog or cat, go fishing or camping, see yourself perform various actions when interacting with things, become a bard. The possibilities are endless!

- New Armors, Weapons & Spells
Every playstyle has been given new equipment and mechanics. Stealth fans will love LoreRim's countless new light armors, bow mechanics, Book of Shadows and more. You can craft alchemy oils to temporarily enchant your weapons or use smoke bombs or even regular bombs to get out of tough situations. Magic users will be given hundreds of spells across each magic school from Apocalypse, Triumvirate, Kitttail's Spells and Requiem - Magic Redone. Combat-focused characters will enjoy new weapon types such as spears, javelins, pikes, halberds, katanas, tantos, shortswords and more. Each race has armor expansions as well which are distributed to NPCs so that you don't feel obligated to go a crafting route.

- Quests, Lands & Roleplaying
Requiem isn't called "The Roleplaying Overhaul" for no reason and I have worked hard to expand on this philosophy. In LoreRim, you will hear hundreds of new NPC dialogues that you have never heard before. Vanilla quests have been overhauled as much as possible with multiple quest expansions with a particular focus on the Companions, College of Winterhold, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Bard's College. New lands and DLC-sized quest mods such as Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, Project AHO, Sirenroot, Siege at Icemoth, Unfaltered Virtue, Saints & Seducers Extended Cut, Clockwork and much more work their way in for countless hours of new and lore-friendly content. All of these quests have been rebalanced and patched for the best possible visuals and gameplay experience.

- Performance, Requirements & Stability
LoreRim has been optimized and bugfixed by hand for the smoothest and most playable ultra-modded experience possible. I personally check meshes to make sure the polys are not insane as to tank FPS for little visual gain. Texture sizes are chosen on the basis of how the texture is actually applied into the world. Custom edits have been made to the environment to reduce drawcalls. Hundreds of files have been packaged into BSAs for VRAM optimization. On top of this, our Discord server features modlist support for those running into issues.
The pre-requisites for installing LoreRim depend on your chosen profile (Ultra, Normal, Performance) but these are absolutely essential regardless of the chosen profile:
-Legal copy of Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Steam set to the English language and updated to the latest version.
-Latest Visual C++ and .Net Runtime installed (even if you think you have them)
-Pagefile set to a minimum of 40GB - instructions
-550GB of space (250GB are downloads and can be placed on any drive, the 300GB install must be on a Solid State Drive)
-16GB of RAM
-Preferably a high-performing CPU such as at least an 11th gen Intel i7 or higher or AMD equivalent.
-GPU Vram Requirement is roughly 12GB for Ultra, 8GB for Normal and 6GB for Performance (depending on GPU)
