About this mod

Patches GildyBoye's amazing animated flails from "Flailin Around" to work with the Lorerim mod list.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
With permission from GildyBoye, I've created a patch for Flailing Around that makes some of the flails from that mod compatible with the Lorerim modlist, adding proper damage values and keywords.  Damage is equal to their mace counterpart.  Mace perks apply to flails.

If you're not using Lorerim, you don't need this patch. Just go download Gildyboye's original.

If you ARE using Lorerim, just download Gildyboye's original and let this mod replace any files.  All the prerequisites for Gildyboye's mod are already included in Lorerim.

For now, flails are craft only.  Future plans to safely add them to Lorerim levelled lists and NPCs.

Changed:
  • ESL flagged .esp replacer for the original mod
  • Added Requiem blunt keywords
  • Added proper damage values for Lorerim
  • Flail SMP weight configuration changed to make them feel "heavier" and less floppy
  • Added keyword "WeaponTypeFlail" as a modder's resource for referencing flail type weapons.
  • Removed some of the WIP flails

Added flails:
This mod doesn't add every flail from Gildyboye's mod, just one for each tier to reduce bloat.
  • 1 Iron flail
  • 1 Steel flail
  • 1 Silver flail
  • 1 Dwarven flail
  • 1 Elven flail
  • 1 Orcish flail
  • 1 Ebony Flail
  • 1 Enchanted Vigilant of Stendarr flail
  • 1 2h Iron Flail
  • 1 2h Steel Flail

Known Issues (Not possible to fix at the moment):
  • Flail physics will only work in third person
  • If a flail doesn't have physics, just unequip and reequip it
  • Flails can be safely used in the left or right hand, with or without a shield, but dual wielding two flails at the same time will disable physics.

Installation:
1. Install GildyBoye's Flailing Around mod with your ModManager
2. Install this mod and allow the .esp from this mod to overwrite the .esp from the original mod.

Future Plans:
  • Using SPID / CID to safely add weapons to certain bandits, dawnguard, vigilants of stendarr, and blacksmith merchants.
  • Change the animation speed to be slower than maces, but with higher damage (if you can help with this, please send me a message and we can figure it out. I've been struggling to get the animations to work)
  • Additional maces, as well as updating if Gildyboye makes more changes to his mod.
