Skeevers Drop Skeever Hide

Update: New version (V2.0) with new textures released.

Here comes another small immersion mod.
As the name suggests, this mod makes skeevers drop skeever hide. Furthermore, it also adds skeever meat to the loot and updates all skeever related items with improved textures and new/updated models (in some cases). All items have been rescaled to fit to the the actual size of the animal, and also the item weights have been edited accordingly. Charred skeever hides can now be created at a cooking pot.
The hide texture is made from actual rat fur textures, the meat textures are actually rabbit meat textures, but I assume rat meat looks similar... :) I also made a version for Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul.
The following items are included/can be created:

Vanilla version (added raw skeever meat and skeever hide):

Skeever hide   > charred skeever hide (2x)
 > leather
Raw skeever meat > charred skeever meat
Skeever tail

CACO version (added skeever hide, reintroduced the charred skeever hide):

Skeever hide  > charred skeever hide (2x)
        > leather
Raw skeever meat > charred skeever meat
                                 > skeever jerky (with salt, 8x) and other food from CACO
Skeever tail > charred skeever tail

Skeever meat is not very popular in Skyrim, so the price is generally very low and traders will hardly sell some (also helps making the mod more compatible ;) ). ...and its value doesn't get much higher if you cook it. But you can use it as food for yourself and your followers. However, skeevers are now one of the few animals that basically drop two different alchemy ingredients plus meat. So hunting is relatively rewarding, especially at early stages of the game. In exchange I removed the minor loot from the vanilla loot list. Also, the alchemical effects are reduced a bit in strength in the CACO version.

The hide can also be used as a modder's resource (e.g. as room decoration or whatever). I give permission for that, but please cite my original mod.
All screenies are taken with CACO installed. The food effects are different for vanilla. I didn't change anything there.

FrankBlack kindly made a fluffy version of the hide and the tail. You can download them here:
Fluffy Skeever Hide
Fluffy Skeever Tail

Version 2.0 includes upscaled textures for all skeever related items. Normal resolution is 512x512 px to 1024x1024 px. The hide and tail textures are recreated from scratch. In the optional files a high resolution texture pack with 1k-2k textures can be downloaded.

Issues?

I'm no 3D artist, so the created meshes and textures might not be perfect. If you want to improve it, go ahead. Especially the skeever tail model is strange. If anyone can resolve the issue with the normals of the hair parts (different light reflection than the rest of the model), please contact me. Apart from that there should be no issues. However, if you find some just contact me here. I'll see what I can do.
I also made a black version of the hide. I'll upload it to the Optional Files section as alternative texture for those who have black skeevers (mine are brown).

Installation

Copy all files to the data folder, overwriting existing files.
Or better use a mod manager to do this.
Place the mod close to the end of the load order and definitely after some mod that edits the recipes and food items. It should be placed after Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul.

If you want to use the HR textures, the black texture should be placed last in the load order, i.e.: Main file < HR textures < Black Texture.

Compatibility

The mod should be compatible with most mods. I also added a version for use with Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul. It carries over all CACO changes and keeps the CACO recipes. However, I readded the Charred Skeever Hide. I don't know why it was removed. I also changed the weights of some items to fit to their actual size and scaled some alchemical effects down. They were too powerful for a low value ingedient.
All versions are stand-alone. So only use one version of the mod.
Simple Hunting Overhaul it compatible. So the hides just work with SHO. But, Skeevers are not (yet) implemented to the SHO skinning script. So you can't skin it and you will not get a skinned carcass when you take the hide, but you can take the not-skinned Skeever carcass with you. I contacted JaySerpa already. Only he can change this.

Thanks

Thanks go to FrankBlack who helped me with the skeever tail model, to the guys who created NIF Skope, Outfit Studio and SSEEdit, Bethesda for creating Skyrim and all modders who keep Skyrim alive.
