Hey, the CACO SHO patch requires the non-CACO file as a master btw :)

Hi, the main mod-files are all named the same "skeeverhide.esp". I think, in the very first version of the mod I had a suffix for the
different versions added, but this became a patching nightmare, so all versions have the same filename now.  That means, it should be fine as it is...

Does this work with Simple Hunting Overhaul? Will the hides be recognized by that mod?

Edit. Sorry. I didn't read the sticky.

Hi. I already checked SHO. The good news is: it's not incompatible. So it just works with SHO.
But, Skeevers are not (yet) implemented to the SHO skinning script. So you can't skin it and you will not get a skinned carcass, but you can take the not-skinned carcass. I contacted JaySerpa already. Only he can change this.

      SHO patches added. :)
Jayserpa didn't tell me he added the skeevers to his mod already some time ago. So it took a while until I found out...

Hello, I just installed this and the mod folder apparently also includes the Data folder (just noticed this after installing FrankBlack's Fluffy Skeever Hides because it didn't overwrite anything). I also noticed the your CACO version changes most of the values, weights and keywords of the items. Are those intentional? Since it does keep the effects intact.
    Other than that, nice mod!

Hello, thanks for the message. I just checked all values and didn't find a mistake. The CACO effect values are of course different, I basically kept them from the original CACO. But I changed two values in the alchemical effects and decreased them a bit. The ingredients were too powerful for such a low price.
But: I changed all weights and some prices. That's because you now get quite a big chunk of meat, and also the tail is quite big. So the weight fits to the 3D model. And the 3D models fit in size to the Skeever animal. :)
The vanilla prices for the tail and charred skeever hide were much too low, so I increased them to the CACO values. All weights and prices are the same for CACO and vanilla versions.

Concerning the data folder in the download file: Yes, it's included. I was told that it should be done this way because Mod-Organizer needs it to work properly. For Vortex it doesn't matter if it's there or not. Both works. :) I also checked the Fluffy Hide. It works perfectly for me.

About the data folder, yes it's a good idea to have it but the esp needs to be inside it otherwise it creates a data folder inside the data folder and then players wonder why the items look invisible.

You are right. I messed this up.
I'll soon update the mod with improved textures and will change the folder structure to standard.

I don't use survival mode. What is needed to make it compatible?

I was having some texture issues with your mod, the skeever tails didn't have any textures and the only other thing I could see in SSEedit was the base game regarding those, but do have Healthy Skeevers in the loose folders, though that replaces the whole skeever, not the tail ingredient, otherwise couldn't find anything else, so fixed that by removing the skeever tail mesh and texture from your mod (removed both for thoroughness), and it defaulted back to vanilla so a fix for me, still it had me stumped and I never did find out why there weren't any textures with it. Thank you for making these, this and the rabbits one, while I don't do hunting in Skyrim it has always bothered me that you get furs off of other creatures but not these two, so I got these mods for completeness sake.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it. What version of the mod do you use?

I found the stupid mistake. The "ingredients" folder in the textures was missing the r. So the mod couldn't find the textures...
Thanks for reporting! Kudos to you.

Okay, good, cause I tried the ESL first and then the regular ESP and both had the same problem and I thought, well no one else had reported anything yet, so maybe its something on my end. Thank you

yes, only the esp files are different in the downloads. The folder structure is the same in all files, so the error was in each file...
Yes, strange nobody else reported the issue, but I only uploaded the file yesterday afternoon... hopefully it is fixed now. :)

Checked the new upload out (regular esp), all good, your skeever tail shows up as it should, no issues.

Thanks for sharing this. I've always worked around or done my best to ignore the skeever hide inconsistency in the game. I'm really pleased someone took the time to add it in with some quality unique models! :)

Hi. The mod is compatible with Simple Hunting Overhaul, but SHO doesn't have the skinning feature for Skeevers (yet). Also the skinned skeever mesh is missing. As soon as these features are added, I'll make a patch to make a full integration. For now, you can loot the skeevers in SHO as usual.
If you want some other mods patched, just let me know...
Of course also if you find some bugs/problems...
