Short description:
  • Weapons became much more realistic in most aspects.
  • Reloading speeds are slower. 
  • Accuracy is different for almost every weapon. You can feel it. 
  • Damages are more balanced. 
  • Each firearm been tweaked individually. Some weapons been especially reworked.
  • Your gameplay will be less arcade.

Damage & Ammo
  • Non-regular ammo is more powerful.
  • All revolvers have the same high damage as SchofieldLet's consider that they have the same caliber, why not. 
  • Receive full damage when NPCs use powerful weapons (shotguns, spencer, springfield). Removed hidden damage reducements to player. 
  • Removed explosive ammo from pistols, Lemat and Navy - for realism.
  • Headshot damage to player decreased from x10 to x3 to prevent enemy oneshots (for those who use damage mods). 
  • Optional special feature (in optional files). Player's damage to humans reworked : you can kill common NPC by one shot in torso from revolver\repeater with express bullet with 60% chance; reduced damage to limbs.
  • * dont get confused of unchanged weapon stats bar - it still shows vanilla stats. 

Cocking & Fire rate
  • Fixed original R* issues when some weapons shoot before cocking is finished (cattleman, navy, lemat, evans, varmint).
  • Increased fire rate for all semi-automatic pistols and shotgun, Bolt-action rifle, Litchfield, Volcanic hip-fire.
  • Decreased fire rate for Carbine, Cattleman, Navy. 
  • Worn weapons have additionally lowered fire rate. You can feel more difference between clean and worn weapon.
  • Mounted NPCs have the same or less fire rate as on foot (in vanilla their fire rate was higher). 

Reloading
  • Reloading speed is much slower (in 1.5 - 3 times). Watch the video demonstration on this page.
  • Partially affects NPCs (they dont use full reloading animation on most of weapons, so their reloading is still faster than player's, but significantly slower than in vanilla). 
  • You can interrupt reloading process after place 1 cartridge into chamber (in vanilla was 2).
  • Weapon familiarity increases reloading speed +20% max (instead of vanilla 10%).
  • Cattleman now has reloading time  ~8 seconds. Schofield and Double-action have 6 seconds. So now a new unlocked revolvers will become really more useful and desirable for player. 


Accuracy
  • Accuracy tweaked depending on target distance for shortarms, shotguns and repeaters. Now you can see a big difference in accuracy on close and far ranges.
  • Range increased for all firearms.

Weapons especially reworked

  • Carbine repeater: slow fire rate, slow reloading, less accuracy, big damage. Now it’s the most powerful, but the most inaccurate and slowest repeater.
  • Lancaster: reduced ammo capacity from 14 to 12 shots (because it is about 20” carbine, its capacity must depends on barrel length).
  • Litchfield: has the same damage as Lancaster, but still contains 15 shots: increased fire rate.
  • Cattleman: increased damage; slowed reloading - significantly slower than Schofield (in vanilla it reloads even a little faster, which is ridiculously unrealistic).
  • Double-action: changed caliber and damage from .38 to .45! Now it’s finally not worthless, but even more, you can really enjoy using it! Such cool High-roller, Algernon's, Micah's revolvers are not weak now!
  • All revolvers are equally powerful now!

Weapon attachments
  • Shortarms with long barrel attachments: +5% damage; +15% accuracy;  degradation rate +10%; for single-action revolvers -10% fire rate.
  • Shotguns with long barrel have +15% accuracy (instead of vanilla 10%).
  • Schofield with short barrel: +10% fire rate; -30% accuracy. 
  • This changes does not show in weapon stats. No changes show in weapon stats. They are incorrect even for vanilla game.

Recoil
  • Increased first-person recoil effect for rifles and shotguns. You can feel its recoil, how it shakes your body.  

Other changes
  • Reduced weapon impact on ragdolls that forced bodies to fly several meters from shotgun shots.
  • Weapon degradation from shots is 15-25% faster. 
  • Unique weapons have additionally increased reloading speed: Granger's, Flaco's, Algernon's revolvers. 
  • Added No forced scope feature

About realism 
I changed weapon properties to be much more realistic, but still enjoyable enough for playing. In case of full historical realism some of game weapons should become almost useless, but I cannot allow it, we don’t have so much weapons ingame to let some of them be useless.  


INSTALLATION 
Install only one version: for RDOffline or standalone.
Copy red_dead_offline folder from the mod archive into LML folder, confirm overwriting files.
For standalone version copy folder from the mod archive into LML folder.


Compatibility
Can be incompatible with some mods. In that case set priority to this mod in mod manager.
WhyEm's DLC - compatible, except WhyEm's weapon skins. Set priority to this mod in mod manager or delete weapons.ymt and weaponcomponents.meta from WhyEm's DLC.  
Ped Damage Overhaul - compatible, unless you use both the Peddamageinfo.meta from PDO and the Peddamageinfo.meta from the optional plugin for this mod (in optional files).
Enhanced Edition  mostly compatible if you set priority to this mod or overwrite the files manually. 
Crime&Law - compatible if you dont use my optional plugin "Special feature", which you can manually delete from that mod or set priority to this mod in mod manager.
BDERO - fully compatible.


Troubleshooting
Some players who use pirate version of RDR2, can encounter "error FFFF". If that happens, just delete "weaponcomponents" file from lml/red_dead_offline folder. In this case you will not receive changes of weapon attachments, but still have other changes.
