About this mod
My on-going project to make Morrowind feel a little more "finished" in a not-so-intrusive way.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
issues and give the old game the much needed TLC it deserves before
playing. Without making any major changes to the essence of the game or
spending ages installing hundreds of tiny things. (Spoiler alert: you're
still going to have to spend ages installing lots of things but this
should help shorten that time and reduce the number)
This is designed to be compatible with OpenMW or the original engine and to be
used along with several other mods, most importantly Patch for Purists
and LDM - Context Matters.
It is currently broken down into four downloads (presented below in recommended install order) so you can
decide how much or how little you want to change.
Base Patch - Bare bones, bug fixes, better expansion implementation.
Official Add-Ons - Minor edits to two of the official Bethesda mods
Graphics & Sound - A collection of subtle visual or audio enhancements to the game that help it feel more finished.
Inconsistencies - Addresses inconsistencies between game lore, text (dialogue, tooltips, books, events etc.) and what appears in-game.
Fixes a lot of stuff that doesn’t make sense.
See “Google Docs” for a full list of what each module includes.
Note the docs also list things that didn't make it into this release, ideas
that were scrapped and things that may be worked on in future. The docs
themselves are a work in progress and also include extra, unfinished
categories.
Recommended Mods (In recommended installation order)
(These are mods that fit within the categories, and most of them actually
cover things I'd have liked to include in Finished Morrowind, but are
not included because either I haven't got permission, they are active
projects, they are large in size or scope, they require either MWSE or
OpenMW, I'm leaving them out in the aid of compatibility or I just
haven't got round to adding them yet.)
If you are using OpenMW: Vanilla Inspired Water for OpenMW
If you are using the vanilla engine, NOT OpenMW, follow this Google Doc.

Compatibility and Credits
All credits are listed in the Google Docs.
Many of the components of this mod I have released already as smaller mods,
this mod should be used INSTEAD of those component mods, not as well.
In the Google Docs you can find links to the component mods pages that
have more information on compatibility with other mods. I have tried to
be thorough with documentation so the Docs themselves should give some
insight into which areas of the game are affected by Finished Morrowind,
which should make it easier to see which mods might conflict.
Remember to install+load Finished Morrowind and its related mods before other
mods, this should let other mods overwrite things from Finished
Morrowind if they need to and reduce compatibility issues.
