BTBGI (NECRO EDIT) TWEAKED

This mod is a standalone edit of BTB's Game Improvements - Necro Edit. Necrolesian's edit of BTB's original mod is fantastic. That said, there were many things regarding BTB's original mod that I wished to change to suit my tastes. The first and foremost is that this mod requires Patch for Purists, hence doing away with the PFP plugin.

Burden, Feather, and Paralyze spells have been nerfed. In the case of the former, their magnitudes have been reduced and their cost increased. For Paralyze, only the cost has increased. NPC-only spells Fire, Frost, Shock and Burden have been tanked hard, as they were outrageously powerful. However, they should still prove to be a challenge.

A handful of ingredients had their value reduced from 15 to 10. These are: Bonemeal (looting a tomb made for a nice profit), Kwama Cuttle, Rat Meat, and Scales. Hackle-Lo has seen a value increase from 2 to 20, as it is meant to be a valuable ingredient.

A number of equipment stat inconsistencies have been addressed. These include: health tweaks, weight tweaks, damage tweaks, reach and speed tweaks. For instance, Ebony and Daedric Spears will now be more durable than Dwarven Spear. Glass Armor will be consistently heavier than Chitin and Netch Leather, and Netch Leather won't be as heavy anymore. The Holy Tower Shield (Bonemold) will properly be Medium Armor now, the Bonebiter Bow of Sul-Senipul will have stats fitting a Bonemold Longbow (instead of those of a Chitin Shortbow), and the Glass Dagger has been nerfed to what I believe were the stats intended by Bethesda (based off other enchanted Glass Daggers). The Glass Staff, the Steel Spear and Ebony Spear now have reaches which are much more inline with their model.

Spears and Halberds are now more distinct from each other. A spear's main (and pretty much only) damage dealer is its thrusting power. A halberd, on the other hand, is pretty bad at thrusting, but much better at chopping and slashing.

Armors have been given another balance pass. Low to mid-tier Light Armor, Medium Armor, and Heavy Armor are now stronger in order to close the gap with the highest tiers, but also significantly more expensive. This should make it harder and more satisfying to progress through armor tiers, and in particular force the player to use the lowest tiers (in the case of Light Armor) for longer. Leveled lists for Netch Leather, Chitin, and Iron have been adjusted to prevent them from spawning right at level 1 (you could find them as early as Addamasartus outside Seyda Neen). Arrille no longer sells Chitin armor, which should be pretty hard to buy that early in the game anyways.

Indoril armor had its value increased to be above Orcish (as vanilla). This is because Harder Barter and Realistic Repair, which you should be using, makes it really hard to profit from murder of helpless Ordinators. As a bonus, I've increased the value of the Vivec Ashmask holy relic.

Artifacts as a whole, at least those I've noticed, have received "lore-friendly" enchantments, based off the in-game book Tamrielic Lore and using inspiration from previous games in the series in order to fill in the gaps of what enchantments were appropiate for any given artifact. That said, none of the enchantments should be outrageously powerful. The Mentor's Ring should be slightly harder to acquire now: the door to the ring has been locked with a level 40 lock. Nothing outrageous, and with a bit of leveled list lock a mage should still be able to acquire it before leaving Seyda Neen.

Creeper and the Mudcrab merchant can trade with the player once again. Dremora and Golden Saints once again drop high level equipment, but a Loot Patch addresses this by requiring the player to be a much higher level in order to get these drops (about ten levels higher for Ebony, and roughly fourteen levels higher for Daedric).

Ice Armor has been renamed to Stalhrim. An Imperial Guard no longer guards the alchemy set at the Caldera Mages Guild and the Sword of White Woe at Balmora has been restored, as Morrowind Anti-Cheese already addresses these two exploits.

Travel and equipment repairs have been made more costly, homemade potions are weaker but can be sold for a small profit now, picking locks is harder and earns the player more experience, while disarming traps earns the player less. Short Blade levels up quicker, but Minor Skills level up slower (proportionately to the growth reduction received by Major Skills).

Certain BTBGI edits caused dialogue inconsistencies. Some of these were especially frustrating, like faction requirements being wrong and The Alchemists' Formulary no longer providing accurate recipes. These two issues have been fixed.

INSTALLATION

The download is bundled as a FOMOD installer, for use with Mod Organizer 2. The core of the install consists of the following:

* The main BTBGI (Necro Edit) Tweaked plugin.
* Balanced Passive Races and Birthsigns Tweaked, personal edit of Balanced Passive Races and Birthsigns to better suit my tastes.
* Morrowind Anti-Cheese Tweaked, personal edit of Morrowind Anti-Cheese for improved BTBGI compatibility.
* Patches for Beware the Sixth House, Tribunal Rebalance, and Bloodmoon Rebalance.
* Patch for There Can Be Only One.
* The BTBGI Loot Patch, which slows down the appearance of high quality loot drops from Dremoras and Golden Saints. This is my way to tackle the problem of high level loot being so commonly available in the game, without completely disposing of such drops.

Additionally, patches for the following mods are available:

* Ashfall - A Camping Survival and Needs Mod
* MM - Enhanced Detection (note that you do not need my patch if you use Necrolesian's Enhanced Detection Lite)
* Poison Crafting
* Realistic Repair Add-on
* Antares' Mage Robes
* OAAB Weapons Integrated
* Oriental Ebony Weapons Integrated
* Redoran War Armor and Sathil Mercenary Equipment
* RuffinVangarr Armors Integrated
* Andrano Ancestral Tomb Remastered
* Yet Another Guard Diversity
