Greetings fellow Mechwarriors this is my Brian Cache mod, It's a collection of the mechs I've created over the years as it stands theirs only 4 chassis, Arthur, Dragonslayer, Fire Moth and Turkina. I will continue to update this mod as I update the stand alone mods and release new chassis. Their are currently two versions of this mod. BC_Vanilla and BC_YAML.

Arthur Lore

With the onset of the clan invasion Hanse Davion and his military advisors were studying the tactics and equipment deployed by clan forces. Taking note of the clans firepower packed into lighter chassis Hanse created a new fund for the New Avalon Institute of Science with orders to improve current Inner Sphere Technologies. Amanda Church is a Scientist and recent graduate from NAIS, who was put in charge of the project she had a love for Arthurian lore which lead to the creation of the NAIS Merlin facility located on the recently re-discovered planet of Merlin. The planet is a closely guarded secret of House Davion and only the highest ranks know of its existence. This facility would become responsible for the creation of the experimental battlemech codenamed ART-0X-X Arthur. The New experimental mech fielded several new technologies among these was the Class 5 Light Autocannon, this weapon has shown promise though it would suffer ammo feed issues causing the weapon to jam and destroy itself as well as the arm actuator it was mounted on. The mech also mounted the first Inner Sphere ER Medium Laser, however this was a completely different version from the one that was developed later. The X-ER Medium Laser was designed to mimic the clans ER Medium Laser damage profile, however this would lead to severe issues such as the focusing lens burning out after several shots or the weapon flooding the mech with excess heat. Though the primary weapons had issues the Targeting Computer that tied the lasers and Light AC
together operated as expected, though there were a few glitches in the system to be ironed out. The First Prince and his advisors were impressed with
the progress the team had made they decided to increase funding and continue the program.

The ART-0X-X carries some of the most exotic experimental equipment never seen outside the highest ranks of the AFFC. The Arthur was built around a 220 XL Engine and utilizing an Endo Steel structure to save as much weight as possible. NAIS scientists realised that the mech was lacking internal space so they began working on compacting the size of a standard gyro, this led to the first experimental Compact Gyro. For offensive firepower the mech carries a trio of X-ER Medium Lasers, these lasers mimic the damage output of a clan ER Medium lasers, however they are prone to burning out the focusing lens or flooding the mech with excess heat. The mech also carries a pair of Light Autocannon 5 these weapons are prone to ammo feed issues and can lead to catastrophic damage to the weapon or the mechs actuators. Despite these drawbacks these five weapons are linked to an experimental targeting computer which has proven to be highly effective with few gremlins to be worked out, the mech has been rounded out with a single Artemis linked LRM 15. Finally the Arthur has one last secret, the AFFC military advisors criticised the mech for not having CASE protection, but due to its unique construction method the team explained that the mech does indeed carry a CASE system which has been integrated into the mechs armour thus removing the requirement to take up critical space or weight

The Arthur has not yet been mass produced and has yet to see any significant deployment, however the mech has been through rigorous combat trials where it has performed above the expectations of the AFFC officers. Developement of the Arthur and its experimental Weapons and Equipment continue as of 3055

Dragonslayer Lore

The Battle of Pangolian Fields during the Fourth Succession War became an eye opener for Federated Sun Command. The fast and manoeuvrable lances of Dragons were able to quickly flank and overwhelm Federated Suns fire support lances of Centurions and Enforcers, tying them up in melee combat and quickly dispatching them with superior weight and armour It became evident that a solution was required. While attempts to create a mech that could outmatch the range, speed, durability and firepower of the dragon were unsuccessful, it was decided that matching range with superior firepower would be sufficient. The new mech, christened the DSY-001 Dragonslayer would live on for the remainder of the Fourth Succession War as a huge success at its intended role.

While the speed of the Dragonslayer would remain average for a 70-ton chassis at 64kph, its long reach would more than make up for this. A pair of LRM10s mounted deep in each side torso, each with a dedicated ton of ammo, already allow it to outperform the Dragon at long range. A PPC in the right arm firmly cements its superiority. The trio of weapons giving it similar, if less consistent firepower to the venerable awesome. Sixteen heat sinks allow it to make full use of its long-range firepower sparingly so long as the pilot is disciplined enough to leave one of the weapons out every other volley. Thirteen tons of armour arranged in a 22/7, 33/10 configuration for torsos, 21/28 for arms and legs respectively and full head protection, ensure that this mech will come out on top
should a Dragon pilot decide to engage in physical combat, the superior weight of the mech only adding its advantage. To address the apparent weakness of the minimum range of its primary armament, the trio of medium lasers, two in the left arm and one in the centre torso, also allow it to outperform the Dragon within shorter distance where the Dragon itself will be at a similar disadvantage.

Fire Moth Lore

Originally the FireMoth was created by Clan Cloud Cobra as an infantry support ‘mech. The high placed arms where designed to carry an infantry transport pod to ease transporting elementals into combat. The pods where discarded after initial tests and the arms remained unchanged. Clan Ghost Bear traded with Clan Cloud Cobra for the design which has become a prominent sight with in the Ghost Bears and Hell’s Horses, because the Fire Moth is poorly armed and armoured it is often used in infantry support roles, reconnaissance and duelling. The Fire Moth is frequently assigned to older warriors who lack a blood-name before they reach solahma units.

Turkina Lore

Entering service during the Battle of Tukayyid with Clan Jade Falcons Turkina Keshik the Turkina quickly superseded the Dire Wolf in the Jade Falcon ranks as their principal Assault Omni Mech. The Turkina is a resilient mech with 18 tons of standard armour allowing it to shrug off heavy weapons fire, it is a fearsome assault mech, with 42 tons of pod space that allow the chassis to carry an array of weapons creating some of the most deadliest configurations seen on a mech of its size. Turkina is also equipped with 3 Jump Jets hat allow it to leap up to 90 meters and re-position its self allowing it to off set its poor manoeuvrability.
