About this mod
This is my first mod, and I attempted to improve Abernathy farm by making it into a fortified compound of sorts. It includes a barbed wire fence around the property, a large tower, multiple watchtowers, a general store outside the defenses, and a new cabin for the Abernathy Family.

I created this settlement build because I thought that Abernathy farm was too vulnerable to attack. To start I built a barbed wire fence around the property, added multiple turrets, and placed down a couple of Watchtowers using items from Sandbag Fortifications. The project kind of snowballed from there:
-The large tower comes from TU3SD4Y'S Buildable Fallout 76 Watchtowers and does not have a navmesh. I intended it to be a player home of sorts.
-I added a general store outside the defenses because I assume that the Abernathy’s wouldn’t want just anyone walking around their property wily nily, and it would be a much safer way to sell their goods. I also thought that it made sense that they would be looking for more workers, especially since their daughter died, hence the “Work and Residence Applications” on the sign out front (sort of immersive/lore friendly way to justify more settlers working at the farm).
-I dislike how Bethesda makes every post war building a mess of wood and scrap metal that wouldn’t keep the rain out, much less protect the
occupants during a harsh winter. To avoid a long-winded rant, I’ll just say that Bethesda doesn’t seem to think that pre-war building techniques would still exist and everyone post-war would be living in ramshackle huts made of tin cans and rotting wood, while completely ignoring the fact that the houses that homesteaders in the 1800’s built without power tools look and function much better than what Bethesda made. In this respect, I replaced the Abernathy farmhouse with a much better looking one using the excellent prefabs from A Better World- Cabin Workshop Pack. In order to “replace” the farmhouse, however, it will require a little bit effort on your part. You will have to scrap the house and anything within (including the shack foundations under the pieces), and scrap the hanging lights.
The Blueprint is in slot 3, so if you have anything in that slot that you don't with to be overridden:
1. Manually download the blueprint
2.Open the file and navigate to the blueprint number
3. Rename the folder to whatever slot you want to use
4. Insert the renamed folder into the transfer settlements blueprint folder
IMPORTANT: I recommend that you play on the old gen version if you plan on installing this blueprint, as I don't know if all required mods
are able to run on the Next Gen Update. I'm not downloading your snake oil "update," Todd.
If it does happen to work, let me know.
For the car and turrets in the screenshots, I’m currently using KB-47’s modern vehicle replacer mod (also affects the turrets). You can
find it in their discord.
ALSO, BEFORE IMPORTING:
1. NUKE THE SETTLEMENT
2. SCRAP THE ABERNATHY FARMHOUSE AND EVERYTHING WITHIN (THIS ENSURES THAT THE CABIN WILL HAVE NO CLIPPING ISSUES)
3. MANUALY DISABLE THE WORKSHOP
