As the title states, this mod restores the cut character named Arnie. According to his wiki article, his editor ID connects him to the raiders at the Federal Ration Stockpile, and his raider outfit only solidifies this theory. His NPC (Actor) record tells a different story, however.

• He is not hostile.
• He uses a generic NPC voice type instead of a raider voice type.
• He has no raider faction affiliation.
  

More than likely, though, this just means that he was incomplete, but I decided to use those points to give him a different backstory...

Arnie joined Red Tourette's gang in the hopes that it would improve his lot in life, but he quickly realized that he was not cut out to be a raider. So, he decided to flee, slipping away when the raiders were distracted by other things. Now, he is holed up in the Lonely Chapel between the Federal Ration Stockpile and Sunshine Tidings Co-Op, hoping a generous soul will find him and guide him to the relative safety of a settlement.

Since Arnie needs to be "rescued," I decided to connect him to the same recruitment dialog given by some generic NPCs when you rescue them. As such, this mod does not require a second mod to handle recruitment. Be Warned: This rescue dialog offers only one chance for recruitment. If the dialog prompts appear and you break contact or choose the wrong tree, you will not get a second chance. This is the game's default setting for rescue recruitment, and I don't know how to change it. To combat this, however, I recommend making a save before entering the chapel, just in case there's a slip of the mouse.

Note: Socharis' mod Recruitable Settlers places Herbert, another runaway raider, in the chapel as well, and for much the same reason as Arnie. If you're using that mod, the obvious explanation for both Herbert and Arnie being there is that they fled together. That is how I'll view it in my game.

Compatibility
Version 2 rebuilds him with a new base NPC (Actor) record so as not to conflict with other mods that may have repurposed the original record.
