Horizon Power Armor Overhaul

-----------------------------

If like me you loved mods like Consistent Power Armor Overhaul, Brotherhood Power Armor Overhaul and Some Assembly Required but were annoyed at having to run many different compatibility patches that still ended up conflicting and ruining balance and immersion, this might be for you.

This is a lore-friendly, modular overhaul of Horizon's Power Armor with additions, fixes and features similiar to some of my favourite mods on the nexus, optimized for the Horizon 1.7 experience.

Requirements

Automatron DLC
Far Harbor DLC
Nuka World DLC
Armor and Weapon Keywords Community Resource (AWKCR) v.8.x+
Horizon 1.7

What this does

Main File

- Patches paints from Armorkeywords (BoS Knight/Sgt/Cpt/Cmdr/Gunner/White/Grey paints for all sets)
- Patches Horizon / Armorkeyword mesh mod incompatibility
- Power armor makes the wearer immune to staggering effects
- Adds consistent paint schemes and insignias to all BoS members, no more Paladins with Knight paint
- Introduces Horizon loot settings, Gunner paint and power armor destruction to Gunner Power armor
- More consistent Raider PA loot
- Added loot to Synth PA sets
- Nucleostrictive Torso Armor now defaults to T-51
- Tesla and Overboss variants are now unique upgrades you can apply and remove from their respective armors
- Reworked unique PA effects to make them less underwhelming
- Minor Lore fixes (Soldiers in prologue use T-51 with military paint, etc.)

(Optional) Brotherhood Power Armor Variety

Optional file to swap most BoS T-60 sets with a more lore friendly distribution of Power Armor. Brotherhood Members use a wider variety of Power Armor with appropriate paints and insignias. The player receives a set of T-45 Knight armor when arriving at the Prydwen and is awarded a set of T-60 Paladin armor when promoted to Paladin.

Knight: T-45
Knight Sgt/Cpt/Cmdr: T-51
Paladin: T-60
Elder: X-01

(Optional) Power Armor Rarity

Optional file to make Power Armor a scarcer and more valuable commodity with very few working sets available in the wasteland.

- Aims to make finding and using Power Armor more rewarding and worthwhile
- Disables most sets of Power Armor in the wasteland and replaces them with other loot
- Power Armor Pieces will no longer appear in random loot chests
- Places single pieces of Power Armor in various locations for the player to find (mostly Raider and T-45, T-51 in high level locations)
- T-60 is only attainable by buying it from Atom Cats or joining the Brotherhood
- X-01 is very rare and can only be found in select locations or worn by faction leaders
- Uses world edits from Some Assembly Required and its legendary dlc patch used with permission (Thank you to ProgmanX and Gota115)

(Optional) Alternate Power Armor Scaling

By default Horizon equalizes Power Armor values and differentiates them through specialization, making all Power Armor sets roughly equally powerful. E.g. T-45 and Raider PA have higher armor defense than T-60 or T-51, but weaker energy and radiation resistance, with X-01 being a jack of all trades. A good system, but a bit ridiculous from a lore perspective.

This optional file restores a more pronounced power curve similiar to vanilla fo4, where T-45 is somewhat underwhelming and the advanced X-01 comparatively powerful, while still keeping specializations to make the armors feel unique.

- Rebalances armor values and resistances with T-45 as a baseline and X-01 at the top
- Raider Power Armor is still a low durability but high armor one-trick pony, but no longer outclasses all other sets
- High-end armor like T-51, T-60 and X-01 are significantly better than T-45 and Raider Armor similiar to Vanilla, but retain their Horizon specific advantages
- Increases repair cost for T-51, T-60 and X-01
- Recommended for use with PA Rarity

Vanilla Horizon:

Damage Resistance:     T-51 < T-60 < X-01 = T-45 < Raider
Energy Resistance:        Raider < T-45 < T-51 < X-01 < T-60
Radiation Resistance:   Raider < T-45 < T-51 < X-01 < T-60
Durability:                       Raider < T-51 < T-45 ~ T-60 < X-01

Alternate Scaling:

Damage Resistance:     T-45 < T-60 < Raider < T-51 < X-01
Energy Resistance:        Raider < T-45 < T-51 < X-01 < T-60
Radiation Resistance:   Raider < T-45 < T-51 < T-60 < X-01
Durability:                       Raider < T-51 < T-45 < T-60 < X-01

Compatibility Patches

Rebalances stats, repair / upgrade costs, module effects and adds Horizon sorting tags and armor upgrade slots. New paints are either tied to magazine unlocks, quest progression or faction standing. Locations are either slightly changed or less easily accessible. Load original mod .esps before Z_Horizon.esp to avoid compatibility issues.

AWKCR Disabler

Small optional file to disable features redundant or broken from AWKCR when used with Horizon. Not dependant on main mod, currently WIP. Load after Horizon.

- Disables AWKCR workbenches
- Disables Stencil spawns
- Disables Paint Can requirements for paints (Horizon prevents most of them from spawning)

This is mod is not compatible with other power armor mods such as:

Horizon Comprehensive Power Armor Merge
Some Assembly Required

Sound mods like P.A.M.S. should work fine
