H-CPAM introduces changes similar to mods like SAR, CPAO, BPAO and P4APA series of mods and balances community-made Power Armors for Horizon. Version 0.6.5 is a massive update to prepare the transition to Horizon 1.9. You'll need a new save to update from 0.6.0. Every single patch was modified and there is a bunch of new patches. The main plugin of CPAM isn't needed by the patches anymore and is only meant for people interested by the lore changes and additional features. When Horizon 1.9 is released, I'll remove the "SAR" features (PA rarity). Horizon will handle PA rarity with the new rusted PA and frames system.
The main plugin of CPAM requires a new game to work correctly ! ⁃ CPAO and P4APA paints for all the vanilla Power Armors, all patched for the Horizon. ⁃ BPAO-like correlation of Brotherhood of Steel ranks and armors. ⁃ SAR-like functionality. There are 6 PA frames in the Commonwealth, every other one is replaced with a military/raider trunk, containing parts of T-45 or Raider PA. T-51 PA pieces dispersed across high-level locations. ⁃ Addressing PA-related lore inconsistencies on a big scale. ⁃ Removal of the 'uniqueness' of DLC Power Armors. Vim and Quantum paints are just a paintjob unlocked by quest. ⁃ Community PAs patched for Horizon. ⁃ Ranked Armor: Every Brotherhood of Steel soldier has insignia corresponding to their rank on their armor, thanks to BPAO2 assets. Soldiers between the ranks of Initiate and Knight-Captain use T-45 PA, soldiers between Knight-Commander and Paladin-Commander use T-60 PA, high-rank soldiers like Star Paladins and Sentinels use T-51 PA and Elder has his unique X-01, taken from Enclave. ⁃ Every vanilla Power Armor has all FO4 factions paints, except for the raider one. ⁃ You can carry more while in PA. ⁃ An auxiliary utility mod can be installed by investing into the Nuclear Physicist perk. ⁃ You can add cosmetic backpack and pouches to your PA for extra immersion ⁃ No staggering while in PA.
One of the biggest issues people have with Fallout 4 are the retcons that Bethesda did. CPAM addresses that: ☉ T-60 is a Brotherhood of Steel manufactured armor. This leads to it being available only to BoS soldiers. Every instance of T-60 in the wild is replaced with T-45. ☉ X-01 is APA. The only way to obtain it is to find it in the Glowing Sea. Every instance of X-01 in the wild is replaced with T-51. ☉ T-51 is better than T-60 and is the pinnacle of PA it supposed to be. Stats of T-60 and T-51 are basically swapped. ☉ Small changes like Quantum X-01 is now a Quantum T-51, pre-war military use T-51 armor instead of T-60.
