About this mod

A Blueprint of Sanctuary Hills that's light on building but packed with goodies, with room to put your own spin on things

After building up Sanctuary numerous times, and afterwards looking at the horrendous clutered monstrosities i have wrought upon the Wasteland, i realized i need to come at it a different way.  Instead of building a bunch of wood or metal sheds that look rundown, or using a bunch of mod-added building materials that don't mesh with the overall design of the settlement, i've used the exisiting houses as shops, and added buildings that match the domestic designs as the rest.

Here's my version of Sanctuary Hills: light on numerous huge buildings, but still packed with everything a post-war settlement needs.  I've retained and re-purposed the existing buildings into storefronts, patched up the holes that Sturges griped about so much, created proper barriers to protect the Home Settlement,  provided a proper workshop for the Sole Survivor, while restoring their former home to its former glory.  I've resurrected a long dead food franchise, and even expanded its purview.  And I've also greatly expanded the ability of its defenses and guard population. I've even afforded space for the Minutemen to expand their artillery coverage.

Optional Update: I've added a alternate version without walls and reduced turrets, for those that prefer not to settle in a fortress.

What you'll find in this blueprint;

Defense
  • Sandbag walls that cover the borders of the settlement(which are expanded)
  • Multiple Guard Posts that cover most of the spawnpoints and mats for robot guards.
  • Automatic Turrets at each defensive post.
  • Central Guard HQ with weapon locker and command posts.
  • Auxillary Guard Barracks for the additional guards.
  • Artillery Command HQ with space to install 5 Artillery Pieces and room for living spaces.
Vendor Stalls
  • Multiple Houses for each Vendor with personal furnishing for each vendor.  Each comes with room for their own bedroom and personal bathroom with           working fixtures(If they're going to set up shop here, you might as well make it nice for them). Every vendor house also come with decoration pertaining           to their corresponding business.
  • Slocum Joe's Donut Shop with added Bar and Soda Machine for all your watering hole needs.
  • Gymnasium and Showers for settlers to get rid of the Wasteland grime.
  • Mini-Arcade so those settlers can waste time.
Resources:
  • Water Tower for water, obviously.
  • Animal Fences for livestock.
  • Greenhouse to twiddle those green thumbs.
Personal Space:
  • New Prewar Player Home with all shiny new fixtures, updated living room and kitchen, bedroom, and kids room.  Also added updated bathroom with full working fixtures and even a LooksMenu Mirror for whenever you want a haircut or needless cosmetic surgery.
  • Dedicated Workshop Building with Robot WorkBench and standard workbenches, with space for extra workbenches that you need.

Electrical:

I personally use  Fusebox Generators and Power Conduits and Pylons for my electrical wiring needs, and only for what truly needs wiring, but feel free to setup with what works for you.

Preinstall:

I'd first recommend using Sanctuary Reworked Roads, and Sanctuary Hills Repair and Cleanup, as it cleans up alot of the random debris in most of the house buildings. I'd also recommend scraping the original player home completely as i've completely replaced it. When i initiated a transfer, it ended up being replaced, but sometimes that doesnt always happen. be aware.

I'd also recommend import using marker-based items, as i've added a bunch of Light sources using SOE Pack.

                                                                                                                  Required Mods:

Non-Nexus Mods:

Better Stores (with Far Harbor Expansion)
Unfortunately, since the creator of this mod had decided to take it off of Nexus, its the only Beth.net mod required.

I'd Also recommend Installing All Settlements Extended, as i've utilized the expanded borders, adding walls the new perimeter, and added building in the
expanded territory.
