1. Just by the look of the photographs, excessive defense at the bridge, Sanctuary Hills has 3 spawn points, where low level enemies attack (usually way down your character's level). 2. Guard towers floating instead of snapping on the floor. 3. Excessive walling of Sanctuary Hills (which is unnecessary if you know the spawn points), making the game unstable. 4. Sanctuary Hills is a beautiful and scenic settlement. You are turning it into a barracks. 5. Probably remove the walls, turrets and guard towers. 6. You scrap everything clean even the trees (I will leave the trees standing just for personal tastes). 7. I have 3 Sanctuary Hills attacks (1 by raiders who were killed before I was notified, 1 by Gunners who are killed when I was doing base maintainence and when I heard noises, they were dead), 1 by lone deathclaw who came in and got machine gunned and killed).
Sanctuary Hills is the easiest location for players. Honest opinion.
1)no one put a gun to your head to use this mod. 2)the mod author wanted to do this location with his/her tastes in mind 3)there is no such thing as "this is how its should be " in modding Every one has their own point of view.. 4)your post is totally rude and shows zero appreciation for the hard work put into this mod by the author. 5) how about actually endorsing the mods you use since i noticed you have ONE endorsement since you joined this community..
There are so many flaws that I don\t5 know which post is worse.. the first guy who bothered to list everything he disliked or you for defending. The best way to deal with critics and critiques is to NOT acknowledge them.
I personally appreciate every mod I try and I try to endorse as many as I can. My first question though is ...Is it something that I would do but using the mod will save construction time / keep me from leveling up 5-10 times be3fore it's done ?
If it strips the landscape bare. I have to spend time repopulating...that.s kinda like you said a matter of choice... but if I'm already gonna have to fix or finish structures that could not possibly stand, like 9 auto MG turrets at a significant height and length, supported by only 2 scaffold towers.... I kinda have to agree with the other guy AND I believe his criticism was worth stating.
First off, i was most definitely joking earlier. Second, i welcome critiques. In fact, i'm the process of fixing a bunch of placement errors and structural misplacements. Should have one uploaded later tonight. I've even created a Defense Lite, Sans Walls, and less turrents near the front entrance, for those who prefer less of a fortress. When ever i go about building a settlement, they first thing i do is wall them the hell off. I know it probably isn't worth if from a gameplay aspect, but in my head it makes sense.
Also, in response to my scrapage of the trees, bushes, and the like, that is just how i roll. I can't stand the clutter. However, my choice will not effect anyone else's preferences. You see, Transfer Settlements imports what ever you added to the settlement, not what you removed. the only exception is if you have moved an existing asset to another location. So it doesn't save your scraps when you import.

This was an untouched Sanctuary, directly after exiting Vault 111, opening the workshop, and initiating the transfer. You can see it imports what i added, but leaves what was already there. So it doesn't save scraps.
I was responding to GREEK' but neglected to make that clear...
Ne said there's no such thing as the right way to do a mod then jumped on the dude for not giving critique the right way. It just struck me as irony.
I do agree on the Wall construction thing.... Sanctuary isn't an Island per se but it is surrounded by water and I have always walled off as much as possible. for the longest time I would have brahmin troughs in what were back yards... then realized that the hedges kept livestock away so I Walled all the way to the Water and then shored up the Hedges then littered the outlying areas with Brahmin and chickens resulting in significant food sources even with very few settlers.
I've uploaded an update that address issues that some of you may have had, and I've also added an alternate version that nixes the walls and reduced the number of turrets.
Just a heads up, Functional Displays is known to cause issues with certain placed objects, cause random CTDs, and cause CTDs when moving from interior to exterior cells
