This mod page is for hosting my mod that so far patches for anything that needs to be added to the races.lsx file as sadly that file is very incompatible with other mods that edit the same sections. So this makes them compatible if I got permission to add them.

What is this mod?

You can use as little or as many of these mods as you want. All these mods do is make it so they can work together. You still require the original mod for this to work, all this does is make them work together.

Mods using the Compatibility Framework are compatible with my patch. I am slowly updating this patch for using that as well. It will then have two versions the CF version which will once released be the most contained patch and then the non CF version for whenever we have to wait on a Script Extender update and for mac users who cannot use Script Extender mods.

Explanations for each patch mod you can download on this page:

Patches for CC Races.lsx
  •  this patches for mods that edit the Races.lsx so they can work together.
  • Only required if using more than one of the mods found in this article 
  • This mod must be at the bottom of the list
  • If using Compatibility Framework load that below this mod. So in that instance CF would be at the very bottom.

FoZ Patches_For_CC_Races_lsx

  • Due to more edits to the Githyanki Race section this patch is separate
  • Only Required if playing with Followers of Zerthimon - Githzerai
  • This mod must be below Patches for CC Races.lsx in the load order.

Half Tief Modded Races Tail Patch


Horns of Faerun Patch
  • Only required if you're playing with Horns of Faerun. Races covered by this patch can be found here
  • Place Below Horns of Faerun in the load order.

Patches_for_VFX_Heads

  • This mod only patches for the visual effect files that custom head mods need to add their heads to in order for effect like Speak with Dead to work and make the eyes glow.
  • Only required if using one of the head mods from this article
  • This will be in the override section of your mod manager and can remain there.

Can you patch for more?

If a modder who has added to the races.lsx sections (plus Humanoid, Fey, Fiend and Celestial) or have custom sections for custom races and would like me to patch for your mod please leave a comment on this article

If a modder and you want me to patch for your heads with the vfx patch please leave a comment on this article

While this was previously understood I am going to make sure it is in writing.

If a custom race modder opts in they understand that I will patch for other mods opted in which are:
  • Hairs
  • Horns
  • Tails
  • and CC colours (such as makeup, horns, tattoo and such) by default because of Humanoid, Fey, Celestial and Fiend being patched for.
  • if it has unique heads that their heads can also be patched by the VFX patch on this page.
  • Veil Null Slot (the actual veils need to be patched on the race mod or veil mod side)

If there is one of the above (except CC colours as they show only under show more) you specifically do NOT want patched for please do tell me.

For instance if a Race mod opts in, it will mean any horn mods made that opt in previously and in the future of that mod being opted it can be patched for that race on my end. And they understand that CC added colours are by default compatible with race mods that have one of those as their parent race.

If I however ever patch for things other than the above list I will approach the modders to make sure they are okay for patching for the new type of asset.
