About this mod

Tweaked settings for better shadow casting and shadow resolution. Fix clipped interior shadows and popping shadows on the wild.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Changelogs
This mod only tweaks shadow settings in "user.settings" to fix those annoying shadows flickering and clipping inside buildings.
Also increase distance and resolution of shadows for fences, roofs and trees.
No more shadow popping few steps away from Geralt nose.
Check images. Screenshots speaks for themselves.

The GPU performance impact of this mod is minimal. If your FPS are solid on Ultra Shadow Quality, you won't notice anything.
For low-spec PC maybe a small drop, between 5% and 15%. It could even increase them in cities or inns, places with a few NPCs stacked.

-Go back to your "user.settings" and look for "[Rendering]", paste the lines right below and save changes. Done.

In-game, you will see the Shadow Quality slider at Low. The game put it there by default when you edit manually some of the parameters affected by the sliders. The new shadow real quality is slightly above Ultra.
Don't move the Shadow Quality slider or ProShadows changes will be overwritten.
