About this mod

Largest Stagger animations for different weapon equip type. Inspire by Elden Ring. Making the NPC largest stagger animations looks like "getting parried". Can replace the vanilla animations, or individually triggered.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
I made another mod with the feature there and an execution system. You can check it there:

Want to try a different style of vanilla largest stagger animations? Like the mods that can parry your enemy and force them into largest stagger state ( like Elden Parry)? That is why I make these largest stagger animations.

Parry and execute your enemy, using "Elden Parry" and "Valhalla Combat"

These animations are inspired by the parry stagger in Elden Ring. And have two version that can replace the vanilla animations or individually triggered.
Include six largest stagger animations in total.See Preview there ( it may take a while to load gif):

Preview there:

Sword with shield and without shield

Axe, Mace, Dagger, Cestus, Claw with shield and without shield

Greatsword, Qtrstaff

Warhammer, Waraxe, Spear, Rapier, Halberd

Requirement:

Open Animation Replacer
Animation Motion Revolution

------Optional, but recommend------
Elden Parry (Optional, with this mod you can use shield or weapon to parry the attack, and force them into largest stagger state)
Valhalla Combat (Optional, with this mod you can execute your enemy, connect with Elden Parry)

------for separate stagger version-----
Payload Interpreter
( ↓ These two are for people who don't want to edit their bash animations, will explain it later ↓ )
Leon Help - One hand sword or Dagger or Dual Wield block and parry animation
SHD and 2HM parry animation
Don't need them if you use vanilla replace version

Compatibility:

Compatible with the weapon in Animated Armoury
Compatible with Maxsu's newest stagger system "ModernStaggerLock".
(←, go try it, super fantastic)
NOT Compatible with other mods that will take control of the vanilla stagger animations.

Install:
(choose one version to install)

- vanilla replace version -
This version will replace your vanilla largest stagger animations. That means when you use your attack, magic, ability, shout and other mods that make the NPC into largest stagger state, these animations will play.

Install it like other animation mods.

- separate stagger version -
This version can trigger my largest stagger animations individually, and won't have influence on vanilla largest stagger animations.

1. Install this version like other animation mods.
2. To trigger my largest stagger animation, you need to install my other bash animation mods:
Leon Help - One hand sword or Dagger or Dual Wield block and parry animation
SHD and 2HM parry animation
Or edit your own bash animations. Check the tutorial there:
The principle of triggering
I make a spell that will shoot a projectile and give a magic effect to the target hit. By using Payload Interpreter, I connect this spell to the shield/weapon bash animations.

fence_bash1.hkx
fence_bash2.hkx ( fence_bash are for impactful blocking)
shd_blockbash.hkx, shd_blockbashintro.hkx
2hm_blockbash.hkx, 2hm_blockbashintro.hkx
dw1hm1hmblockbash.hkx, dw1hm1hmblockbashintro.hkx
tor_blockbash.hkx, tor_blockbashintro.hkx
1hm_blockbash.hkx, 1hm_blockbashintro.hkx

So when you are using a shield/weapon bash, the spell will be triggered, and the NPC in front of you will get hit and gain a magic effect. Through OAR, before the magic effect gone, the NPC next largest stagger animation will be limited to my animations.
If you are using Elden Parry, the NPC will be forced into largest stagger state after you use shield/weapon bash to successfully parry their attack.
That's how all things you saw in my gif work.
Edit your own animations
1. You can learn what is "annotations", and how to write annotations there:

2. Find you bash animations.
If you can't locate the animations you are using, you can try OAR animation log function.
① Open the console, and select your character.
② Open OAR in-game menu, click the animation log at the right bottom. Then you can see the log menu appear
③ Close menu, close console. Control your character do a bash movement
④ Check the log, it will show the path where the animations just played are from

3.Write this annotation into you bash animations.
0.000001 PIE.$EDparrystagger

4. Done

3. Install Elden Parry or other mods that can make the attacker into largest state after you use the shield/weapon bash.
