This mod did something REALLY weird when I installed it.

The ride in the wagon into Helgen at start? Jumping all over the place. The horse was sideways in his harness, the camera was as if the wagon rolled over, but we just bouncedalong heading into Helgen. I disable this mod> And that nonsense stopped and we went back to normal traversing in the back of the wagon.

I reallyu wanted the visual improvement to the NPCs but...it dont work.

I used Vortex to install, and I'm running Skyrim SE v1.6.640.0.8 (AE, but not the CC AE)

EDIT: For grins, after uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it twice yesterday to no avail. I tried it again today. omething changed, though I do not know what, because now the wagons proceed normally into Helgen. (I tried this again, because a variety of other mods began to exhibit this exact same behavior, and uninstallin then reinstalling seemed to resolve the issue. 3rd time was the charm here.)

Many mods are incompatible with vanilla start, that's why Alternate Start - Live Another Life is recommended. Especially for such heavy mod like Interesting NPCs.

Yeah so I have found. Thus, I did install Alternate Start. Seems that opening sequence is subject to frequent issues.

I've had similar experiences before lol. I thought I'd broke my whole laptop when the horse was flying around, the carriage simply stopped at the gate while glitching out and then the ground disintegrated my entire game.

But the alternate start mod for sure stops that from being an issue.

I've been using this patch for the vanilla opening while using 3DNPC as well as this overhaul and it seems to eliminate any issues with physics. Give it a try if you want to play through the vanilla opening

My NPCs don't look quite right. for some reason their facial structure does not look right. See example image: https://imgur.com/a/8iNPIQ4
I am using high poly head and i could be wrong but seems like the npcs are using high poly head for some reason. I checked SSEedit for Eldawyn (npc in the image) and the headpart was not overwritten by any other mod. Could someone point me in the right direction in fixing this issue? I know a very similar list of mods i used in an earlier playthrough worked fine.

She looks completely fine, face structure is the same, just the skin texture isn't. I'm not a fan of Fair Skin Complexion per se, it's too plastic for me, but I use it as an asset (due to its good quality). My mods don't have custom skin textures to minimize file size and compatibility issues.

Hello, guys! Sorry for non-correct topic question, but on main mod (3DNPC) comments are locked. Does next guys change many of world spaces, navmeshes, loading time and landscape edits? And how its critical for new-game or middle-game saves?

Interesting NPCs SE (3DNPC) at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
Citizens of Tamriel SE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
Anna NPCs SSE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)

Also want to know about those ones (not particularly important, but also interesting):

INIGO at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
Kaidan 2 at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) (with ALL inclusive addons, patches, etc. like: extended edition, immersive features, kaineedy, barter addons, race compab, visual replacers, DAR anims, 3DNPC patch, etc, etc, etc. cos most of them have medium issues in total compability with other mods)
Moon and Star at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
Undeath Remastered at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)

Answered about it, cos I am afraid and already know for sure that due to the fact that this is a old and crude mods, and what they can break my mod-list for most probably. So, I need to know from smart players, who has passed these mods completely and knows about their mistakes on 100%, which issues I can get. And does I need to turn them ON in general? Thanks.

Writed with help of translator. Thanks for understanding.

Interesting NPCs Visual Overhaul\meshes\3DNPC\females\eyes\*.nif are pointing to textures\artsick\eyemod\base\eyebrown...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't these textures be packed with the mod if this is truly standalone?
I know you mentioned they are dummy nifs

I'm having ta same problem as others... purple eyes/hair on my installation (Some conflict with High poly head).

I'm running a modlist where the author has set the Head part for each race to its High Poly head equivalent. I'm wondering if this is perhaps why the Nifs from your mod are not being respected

Here is a screenshot of the Nord Race where FemaleHeadNord "FemaleHeadNord" [HDPT:00051623] is being set to 00KLH_FemaleHeadNord "FemaleHeadNord" [HDPT:0E000A06] (present in High Poly Head.esm)

It does not replace by default, no. The modlist author did include this though, could this be the root cause? Does your mod need race records with vanilla headparts?

So I went back and reverted that headpart change for all the races and now your replacer is working as expected. =]

      Thanks!

This is exactly the problem with modlists - you download a bunch of random mods, so it's hard to troubleshoot it - anyway good job on fixing it.

Hi Sorca. I love the new faces, but I am having an issue with some of the Hair and eyes. Please look at this... https://imgur.com/gallery/09SkiSB

I am operating under the assumption that you have baked in the mods from which you drew resources, so I don't have any Hair eye mods except for Apachii and Eyes of Beauty. I have also moved Visual overhaul to just above DynDoLOD, so it is last in my load order.

Would you have any suggestions as to how I should proceed?

had the same purple eyes after i had over-downsized the textures/converted them all to BC7 format with Octagon. reinstalling the Overhaul worked for me, have you tried that?

purple is one of the signs that the right textures can't be found for the mesh (right = {size, type, compression, format}, found = {name, path}). CTD is the other

I think it might have something to do with High Poly NPCs but I'm not sure.
When I uninstall your mod, the eye missing meshes go away.
It's a shame because I really like your mod!
      PS:
I am using a highly modded game. I would love to find a fix for this issue if anyone has suggestions?

Do you use MO2? I give no support for NMM and Vortex.
HP NPCs are not compatible with my mod, unless mine is the lowest in the order.
Let me say it again - my mod is STANDALONE, it's not conflicting with or requiring any eyes or hair mods. Sorry, but it's basic knowledge and someone who has "highly modded game" should know such things like mod/plugin order, conflicts, requirements.

Hey I have the same issue with MO2, I tried only using 3dnpc and this mod and I still have the purple eyes, any ideas?
Edit : I dug deeper with xEdit  I remplaced the eyes with vanilla one and it fixed it for the one npc I edited. Not as pretty thought :/ Trying to find out why
Edit 2 : Tried fusing this mod with the main one and while it did fix some hair bugs for certain npcs (Olivia for exemple) it created the bug elsewhere (ex : Eleanor which was perfectly fine before) and the eyes of Olivia that I fixed became purple again.
I think I'll have to manually replace every npc eyes when I encounter them in game.
      Still have no clue why.

To see if maybe there was a missing texture in one? tbh I was trying lucky shots for a fix, but Since I put it at the very bottow of my mod order with all of the other mods active I haven't seen the bug since, so hurray?
But editing in xEdit the eyes and hair does fix it but one by one

Weirdly, I've had the same problem. When I first installed it, I had to delete and re-download it, and then no problems.
I recently had to re-install all my mods, and when I did so, had the exact same problem, with the exact same solution.

If anyone reading this has the attitude of "well, that makes no sense", I don't get it either. Maybe it's an issue with it installing or with Nexus? It's a weird thing, easily fixed but there's quite a few comments about it. I checked on a new save after re-installing and it seems fine now.

Oh, this. Idk what's causing it. When I gave my mod to testing, my friend reported that facegens had different head part names. After redownloading everything was ok. It's weird, because current version is repacked.

sounds like you guys have your npc overhauls not syncronised with your assetts.  NPC Overhauls  will overwrite each other with no problems provided the assets have exactly the same load order as the esps.
Sometimes different assets from body mods can affect NPC overhauls and the solution is either to put the body assets into a .bsa, or place the body assets above the npc overhauls.  Either way works as loose files always overwrite a bsa.
Corrupt files can also create troubles.  The fix is to redownload and reinstall.

I had this exact problem in my game, and upon closer inspection the problem is that the eye-models that you use (for some characters at least) are pointing to textures which aren't included in the mod.

Looking at meshes\3DNPC\females\eyes\eyesfemale.nif they want the following texture: textures\artsick\eyemod\base\eyebrown.dds (and a few other in the same dir) and those simply aren't included in the mod. There are also some SG hairs that don't have their textures included, but I haven't looked at all the nif files yet to see which are okay and which aren't.

I am really surprised not more people are having this problem to be honest, or they just aren't reporting it, unless of course they've got the eye-mod installed as well as the SG hair mod, which would solve the problem I imagine. I suppose for myself I'll break out the textures from those mods manually as a quickfix.

So there's noone breaking your standalone mod it's just not as standalone as you intended.

Okay, so I actually took the time to go through all hairstyles and textures from the following mods are what we're missing:
KS Hairdos by Kalilies and Stealthic
SC - KS Hairdos Retextured by ShinglesCat
HG Hairdos by summerdew (on LL)
SC - The Witcher 3 hairdos by ShinglesCat
      NUHairstyles by Nana-Beats (on LL)
      ApachiiSkyHair by Apachii
      Starsight Eyes by Artsick

If there are more missing then they're from meshes not included in the mod. I was able to download all of those except the NUHairstyles as it doesn't seem to be available any longer.

They are standalone, because dummy nifs don't need any textures at all. They're just for plugin to make custome face parts, that's all. It's the facegen that has the correct texture paths and that's enough. DUMMIES DON'T NEED THEM.
