The aim of this mod is to provide an immersive, subtle, functional player home
for solitary characters that doesn't feel inhabited when the player’s away.

Silverglade
Adds a new player home named Silverglade to Falkreath.
Includes all the vanilla crafting stations and numerous displays for armor and weapons.

An Uninhabited House
The house won’t feel like it’s being maintained while the player isn’t home. When you return, you’ll need to
rebuild the fireplace, relight candles, and set up any crafting stations you need to use.

Quest Integration
A simple quest to obtain the house,
with additional unique quest rewards.

Requirements and Compatibility
No other mods or DLCs are required to use this mod, and it's fully compatible with all my mods.
It may be incompatible with other mods that amend Half-Moon Mill and the surrounding area.
Place this mod lower in your load-order than any mods that might clash with it to avoid any issues.

This mod is a spiritual successor to Zim’s Falkreath Home, which I have taken off the Nexus and
will not be supporting further. However, it can be downloaded from this page.

Location
The house is loacted in Falkreath Hold near
Half-Moon Mill, see map location in images.

Design and Content
There are four areas to the house: the exterior, the main room, the basement, and the shrine.
The house has been designed to resemble a hunter's home (Static Mesh Improvement recommended).
Note: images on this mod page use a combination of Noble Skyrim, Skyland and vanilla textures.

Lighting
The house is lit with enchanted wall candles, which burn from soul gems. These can be switched on an off by activating an enchanted candle switch (looks like a deer skull with soul gems for eyes), which toggles all the candles in the room. They will burn out after a while and will need to be relit. The candles in the shrine are automatically lit when entering.

Shrine
This is separate from the main house. It contains a Shrine of Hircine (requires no gold, even with Survival installed), which works like other vanilla shrines and fortifies your Archery skill.

When this mod is first loaded, Silverglade will be owned by a hunter named Kjarion Silversted.
There are two ways to obtain the house from him:

Option 1: complete the Silverglade quest
This quest is begun by finding a piece of the Silversted Armor set, which can be found in
Moss Mother Cavern, Embershard Mine, Bilegulch Mine or Brittleshin Pass. Once a piece is acquired,
wait 12 game hours and you'll receive a courier letter that starts the quest.

Silverglade

Quest Giver: Read the Warning Letter
Location(s): Falkreath, Silverglade
Reward: Silverglade player home, Karion's Bow, Silversted Helm
ID: ZFH_Quest_V2

Quick Walkthrough
1. Acquire the Silversted Armor, the Silversted Bracers, the Silversted Boots or the Silversted Helm
2. Wait 12 hours to receive the Warning Letter
3. Read the Warning Letter
4. Survive the hunt and kill Kjarion Silversted
5. Loot Karion's body and read Kjarion’s Letter
6. Take the Silverglade Key from Kjarion’s body
7. Access Silverglade to claim it for your own

Detailed Walkthrough

Acquiring a Silversted Heirloom
To begin the quest, acquire one of the following:
- The Silversted Armor (found in Moss Mother Cavern)
- The Silversted Bracers (found in Embershard Mine)
- The Silversted Boots (found in Bilegulch Mine)
- The Silversted Helm (found in Brittleshin Pass)
All of these armor pieces can be found in the boss chests of their respective locations.

Once you’ve acquired one of these items, wait 12 hours, after which a courier will deliver you a Warning Letter. On reading the letter, the quest will begin. The letter will explain that someone named Kjarion intends to kill you.

The Hunt
As soon as you read the Warning Letter, the hunt will begin. During this time, Kjarion Dul will track you down and try to kill you. Continue to play as normal and eventually Kjarion find and attack you. You may encounter him in the wilderness or in a dungeon, but never in a civilised location. The more you travel and explore Skyrim, the more likely you are to encounter Kjarion; waiting in one place will not help Kjarion catch up with you.

To survive the hunt, kill Kjarion.

Finding Silverglade
On Kjarion's body, you will find a note explaining his actions and his reasons for wanting you dead. You will also learn of the location of his home, and you will be able to loot the Silverglade Key from his body. Once you have the key, you can gain access to Silverglade to complete the quest.

Option 2: enter Silverglade Shrine
The main house is protected with an unpickable lock, but the Silverglade Shrine can
be lockpicked. Entering the Shrine will cause Kjarion to appear and attack you.
Once killed, you can loot the key to the main house from his body.

If you're updating this mod mid-playthrough, make sure you unistall the previous version first, make a clean save, and then install the new version.
This is the safest way to update and should work without issue, but it's not 100% safe and can break your save, especially if you have lots of mods.
The safest option is to only update when starting a new game.

V1.4 update notes:

V1.4 update
- Fixed the bug causing Silverglade cells to reset
- Remade the hunt:
- In the previous version, Kjarion took too long to catch up to the player, and the only reliable method to quickly get Silverglade was to follow the quest compass marker to Kjarion. Now, Kjarion will actually reliably and quickly find the player and ambush them. As such, the compass marker is no longer required and has been removed
- The letter will now always be found on Kjarion's body
- Kjarion now starts hunting you as soon as the letter is received, reducing wait time for the quest to start
- Minor changes to quest journal and letters text
- Removed the mounted werewolf head, which could cause CTD when entering Silverglade; replaced with a unique silver-toothed sabre cat
- Fixed the lighting bug on first-person Silversted Bracers
- Renamed the Silversted Helm to Kjarion's Helm
- Added a fourth piece of findable armor, the new Silversted Helm, to Brittleshin Pass
- Moved the spawn location of the Silversted Armor from Redoran's Retreat to Bloodlet Throne
- The Silversted armor set is now based on a craftable armor set called Blotched Leather armor, which can be forged by the player after reading the Blotched Leather Forging Instructions in the Silverglade Basement
- Added some additional shelves to the basement
- Renamed the Blessing of Hircine's effect name from "Fortify Marksman" to "Fortify Archery"
- Retextured the front door
- Added a new cell: Silverglade Shrine; moved the Shrine of Hircine from the main house to this area
- Removed the secret tunnel and associated storage room (as I found that because it was further from the main house, storing things there was actually quite irritating and I rarely used it)
- Added additional storage, including a large safe, to the basement area
- Changed how lights work: individual lights can no longer be toggled, and both upstairs and downstairs lights are switched on/off together (note: some minor changes to lighting as a result)
- Firewood pile doesn't have a maximum storage limit anymore and only updates visuals out-of-menu to improve stability
- Player now benefits from the Well Rested effect when sleeping in Silverglade
- Added a decorative silver greatsword to Silverglade main area
- Fixed the bug causing the cooking pot lid to move when struck
- Repacked assets into BSA files
