FEATURES
- ESL-flagged plugin will not take up a spot in your load order.
- Faces generated using High Poly Head and Expressive Facegen Morphs.
- Uses performance-friendly non-physics hair from High Poly Hair and Vanilla Hair Remake.
- Incorporates Eyes Nouveaux for high-quality textures, tinted lashes, and comprehensive eye mesh improvements.
- Maintained or improved consistency between NPCs and hair/complexion. Old Orc is now old, for example.
- Greatly reduced frequency of the "no eyebrow" look. Most NPCs have eyebrows.
- Select use of Beards of Power to accent unique NPCs like the Graybeards.
- All Bosmer have antlers for that ESO-style and to distinguish them a bit from other elves.
- Orc brow horns are off-white instead of matching the skin tone.
- Demon eyes reserved for Dremora, and Daedric Princes, and a few high level enemy mages.
- Meshes are packed into an archive so they can be easily overwritten by fancier NPC replacers.
- Playable bald "hair" as a bonus. Free! Great value!
- Tintmasks provided as an optional file. Generated with a custom tintmask blend and reduced opacity of dirt and heavier makeup for a more natural aesthetic. It's still based on vanilla so don't expect miracles. Performance-friendly 1K. No requirements; can be used independently of the main file.
Not strictly required, but intended for use with:
Expressive Facial Animations (male and female) - If you see clipping of facial animations these mods are the fix.
BnP Teeth - If you don't use a teeth mod that has mouthhuman_s.dds, mouthhuman_sk.dds, and teeth_e.dds textures included you will need to at minimum grab those texture files from BnP Teeth.
Facial Hair by Khistartin - Install the beard and brow replacer versions.
Alt1 for Men, Alt2 for Women or Reverie - Those are my favorites, but any skin mod is fine.
Orc Brow Horn Tweaks - Grab any of the texture replacement files.
Xenius or Northborn - The HPH scar textures are all that's needed.
Elven Ears for Bretons - Install 100% distribution, which distinguishes Bretons from other humans similar to the Bosmer antler aesthetic.
Vanilla Hair Salt and Wind - This looks good with my hair color selections.
The screenshots in the first four images were taken using the list above and Pi-CHO ENB. The screenshots in the last image use Moxie skin for men, BnP skin for women, vanilla hair texture, and Hverg's brows and beards.
Mini FAQ
Q: Ax, why does this use USSEP?
A: I wasn't gonna patch my own load order for it after the fact so I just built the mod including it.
Q: What about the free Creation Club modules that get attached as masters with USSEP?
A: If you don't use the CC modules, you can just delete those NPC edits in SSEEdit then use the "clean masters" tool to remove the dependency.
Q: Will you also make FaceGen for all the Anniversary Edition Creation Club NPCs?
A: Probably yes at some point.
Q: Patches?
A: No. I will not be making any patches whatsoever.
Q: This NPC has a super dark face that doesn't match their body.
A: See above re: patching. You can fix this in SSEEdit.
Q: Skypatcher version?
A: Maybe eventually? This was a lot of work and I'm tired now.
Q: Physics hair version?
A: Probably not. Versions of this kind of mod that use physics hair already exist.
