Reverie is flexible, built to give you options so that you can make the character you'd like to make, and have your game look the way you'd like it to. Use any body replacer you'd like or none if you want to, the vanilla option is game-ready and comes with real feet meshes: no hassle, no fuss. Enjoy character modding? Reverie comes with diffuse and normal options that you can use to get anything from a young Nord adventurer to a wisened Dark Elf.

Attention, screen-archers! I love your screenshots and absolutely encourage you to add some to the image section – I look at all of them! Do please keep in mind, however, that this is mod page is intended to be safe-for-work and so if you do add any images with nudity, I will remove them. I hope you understand.

Features
  • Diffuse, normal, specular, and sub-surface scattering maps for female elves and humans, including the elderly.
  • Diffuse maps for the afflicted.
  • Improved textures for Astrid, mainly focussing on getting rid of seams.
  • High-definition tintmasks – lipstick, blush, eyeliner, et cetera.
  • Ten different options for user customisation, including possibly the only female body hair (arm, leg, armpit) on Nexus?
  • Female feet meshes and refit shoes for vanilla bodies.
  • Support for a wide array of mod set-ups from different body types to head meshes.

The diffuse textures here are an elaborate mix; check the credits or just ask me if you'd like to know more or how. Eyelids on many of the normals were repainted to match the meshes and Charmers of the Reach was used to improve ear and nostril shading. Body and head speculars have been completely redone to enhance the natural detail of the diffuses.

If you'd like to optimise for performance I'd recommend Cathedral Assets Optimizer. It offers a relatively accessible interface which, in addition to helping convert mods between editions of Skyrim, allows you to downscale textures en masse!

Compatibility
Reverie should be able to fit into any mod list. There are options specifically for vanilla, UNP, and CBBE . BHUNP and CBBE 3BA use UNP and CBBE textures respectively. There is also an option for ECE UV eyes which is especially useful for players using NPC overhauls with meshes based on the ECE UV.

Technical Information
  • Diffuse, normal, and sub-surface scattering maps have been saved using BC7 compression. BC7 compression is superior to BC1 and BC3 in quality and can actually be used for Special Edition.
  • Specular maps have been saved in BC4 which is about four times smaller than BC7. This is because the alpha and two colour channels are discarded. These are unnecessary for specular maps and BC4 does a good job of preserving detail in luminosity, and is so the best option.
  • Tintmasks have been saved using BC1 compression since the game seems to dislike BC4 for tintmasks and BC1 is about half the size of BC7.

Special Thanks
  • To the people of the DDS Workshop Discord server, for being lovely. Since it seems that this line may have confused some people, to clarify: I am not khisartin/DDS Workshop, although I do greatly admire her work! Speaking of which . . .
  • To khisartin, for the valuable resources that she has provided and all the help!
  • To everyone in the 📕 Club, because you're all great.
