This mod is a collection of KID inis that add NPC Spell Variance keywords to Kittytail's magic mods that have SPID distribution built in; this includes Abyssal Wind, Abyssal Tides, Obscure, Dark Hierophant, Frostbitten Dreams, Holy Templar, Ancient Blood II, Wildwaker, and Wizarding Traversal as of July 2024. These inis are provided in a FOMOD that will detect which packs you have installed.
Dmigra has written a KID ini for Elemental Mastery; that can be found here.
NSV support and makeshift SPID distribution for Astral Magic 2, Storm Calling Magic 2, Constellation, and Winter Wonderland are now available as of 1.1 for this mod. The SPID inis will add spells from these packs every so often to enemy casters, with Astral being the most common. The Warlock faction is targeted for all four of these packs, the Thalmor can receive Astral, Storm Calling, and Constellation spells; Forsworn Shamans can use Storm Calling spells, and Vampires are covered under Winter Wonderland.
I've tried selecting less disruptive spells along the lines of Kittytail's SPID inis for the later magic mods. This ended up making Astral distribute seven distinct spells, while the others have two or three rarely given at most. Additionally, their occurrence rates are somewhat conservative by default given the Warlock faction being included in all four of these SPID inis and the highly deadly nature of many of these spells at base, especially when combined with Astral Wave and/or other MR reducing debuffs.
Sonic Magic will not be covered by this; while the Disarm effects exclude the player, they can still affect Followers. I personally don't believe adding mages that are another source of Disarm against the player's followers is fun to play around, nor does it add much depth to combat given other mods that try to "fix" or rework Disarm in different ways.
Please note that my Astral 2 and Storm Calling 2 SPID inis will overlap with EEOS. Using both aren't specifically incompatible, but may increase the chances of these spells being distributed to overlapping NPCs.
Note for Wildwaker: Wildwaker's SPID ini also distributes a perk to the Forsworn faction that prevents them from using spells that inflict Fire, Ice, and Shock damage. If you want to use Wildwaker with my SCM2 distribution or something like Madmen to further expand their spell arsenal, I recommend commenting out or deleting that line from Wildwaker's SPID file. Keep in mind that this perk will not affect Abyss nor Natura spells as their spells lack these affected keywords.
Abyssal Tides has a similar spell blocker perk for Miraak cultists, but it shouldn't cause issues with Necrom's distribution as those spells inflict Poison damage instead.
