About this mod

Overhauls 27 NPCs within VIGILANT.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Hello, I'm currently 1) in bed, and 2) in pain, so can't write lengthy descriptions. This overhauls around 27 (or something, too braindead to count properly rn) NPCs within the quest mod VIGILANT to be more distinct and less... that.

Lamae and Bal/Bard got the Charmers of the Reach treatment while the rest are high-poly-fied.

NPCs affected are as follows:
  • Lamae (vampire/human)
  • Bard
  • Altano
  • Thorondir
  • Gwyneth
  • Jacob
  • Bal/Rahel
  • Carene
  • Lillian
  • Lusine
  • Balor
  • Aredhel (act 3 version only)
  • Thingol
  • Bartholo
  • Facis
  • Sir Amiel
  • Sir Juncan
  • Hilda the Witch
  • Vernaccus
  • Alessia (young human version only)
  • Pelinal
  • Enola
  • Gloriel the Valkyre
  • Mary
  • Orlando the Knowledgeable

(1.1: made a tiny change to Alessia's elder form--voice type changed to FemaleUniqueAlessia. This seems to fix the bug people get during the dream sequence where Alessia doesn't respond to Pelinal. This will be subject to another change once Vigilant Voiced gets an update, I think. I didn't alter anything else, just the voice type.)

The ones I didn't touch, I either couldn't care less (like dead NPCs) or they start out with full face helmet so making a custom face sculpt for them just feels pointless.

Lamae and Bard's textures are all standalone and included, the rest use your own textures. In my screenshots I'm using Bits and Pieces (edit: it looks decent with Tempered Skins too. I checked.)

Expresssive Facial Animations Male & Female are soft requirements. Without them you'll probably get clipping issues when the NPCs talk.

There are already a number of Vigilant NPC overhauls out there--if you want to combine this with individual replacers like allonsywisegirl's terrific Lamae or Alessia, just load their mod below mine so that their changes override mine.

There's also an optional SPID file to remove several NPCs' helmets or hoods. I did it this way to circumvent the naked bug that might appear if installing mid-playthrough. Put it in your Skyrim Data folder, like all SPID files.
