About this mod

Remodel of the NPC Sword Saint (and Inner) Isshin, his helm is removed and traditional 'Top Knot' added instead.. cuz a Sword Saint doesn't need a helm! :P

I present to you: Top Knot Isshin - NPC Remodel

Required mod

Sekiro Mod Engine

Highly recommended mods

for even more customization combo possibilities (of your own player model):

Isshin's Sword Saint outfit for Sekiro (with physics)

Shura Isshin Ashina - Sekiro model replacer (with physics and Red-Eye) (Top Knot Isshin used in the screenshots for comparison and bug checking!)

Or (if your a fan) any of my (Kunoichi) female-remodels: Ayame Physics ProjectLady Butterfly's Disciple and/or Ayame Summer Edition

Known incompatibilities

- None that I know of.. Other then the obvious 'same files' that overwrite, aren't gone be compatible (out of the box at least..). But could be made to be compatible with a little effort.. Read on for tips to merge the 'textures used in this mod' with any other mod that also uses a 'common_body.tpf.dcx' file!

Parts logic

Basic info on the model files and the parts they contain:
c5409.texbnd.dcx: for the textures
c5400.chrbnd.dcx: contained inside the CHR-folder, which should be next to the PARTS-folder. Contain the 'Top Knot Isshin NPC remodel' edits.. And I was happily surprised to see this slight remodel uses different files then the Sekiro Resurrection overhaul.. Making it fully compatible, in fact all the screenshots taken were done in combo while running S:R
Same goes for just any and all overhaul-mods.. and I wasn't expecting that! :D Take a look at the complete list below here..

Other compatible overhaul mod-list (to be over-complete.. and current version only cuz it may change again next update but probably unlikely?)
- Elden Arts
For the Sake of Ashina
- Ashina Incarnation
Spirit of Ashina (with or without the previously mentioned 'Ashina Incarnation' pre-merged opt!)
Land of Reeds Emptiness
- Sekiro Dream of the Damned
- Sekiro Long May the Shadows Reflect Mod
Black Sword Isshin
Trial of the Shinobi
- Unofficial patch for revival (aka Resurrection) (i.e. Shura 3.2)
Flame Isshin
- Shadow Of Sword Saint
- JiDao 2.0/and 2.1
- A Return to Ashina (To be released.. but will most likely be compatible as well..)

Installation

Unpack the downloaded archive (with 7zip and/or WinRAR) into your Sekiro game-folder (where the Sekiro.exe is located).
It should look like this: (installation-folder\mods\Chr\<with both c5400 & c5409.texbnd.dcx here>)

Mods worth trying:

Spoiler:
Show
(Compatible with this mod & the above recommended mods. But you may have to pick and choose cuz they aren't ALL compatible with each other..)

Spirit of Ashina: You come for a vanilla+ light overhaul-experience.. But stay for the AMAZING long distance views.. Also check the tips on mod-combos the author recommends. (Like the awesome Ashina Incarnation opt combo)

Shadow Blink - Standalone: awesome Mist Raven enhancement, 'Shadow Blink' (and opt 'Shadow Dash' ability combo) from Elden Arts as standalone-mod. Also easily imported into other mods that already use the 'c0000.anibnd.dcx' file, by unpacking the original files of both mods with Yabber. Then copy + overwrite the 'a74.tae' file (which should contain all the Mist Raven edits) to the mod you want it in and repacking the edited file again with Yabber. Look for more extensive guide written here..

Musashi's Art: Animation replacement for basic combo-attacks. (And there is also a Sekiro Resurrection (S:R) compatible version here: Hub of Changes - Musashi Art)

Sekiro Resurrection (S:R): There's also a 'How to Install Sekiro: Resurrection (Tutorial)(helpful to understand how to install more complex mods for Sekiro in general) and if you are having additional trouble, you can get in contact for help on discord! https://discord.gg/pRz8pQAbUz

Sekiro Hotkey System use the 4.0 version if the latest is giving headaches on use! Can also be used in conjunction with Sekiro Weapon Wheel if you should choose.. To install these kind of mods with 'mod-engine dependent mods' like mine follow these steps: "chainDInput8DLLPath="\SekiroWeaponWheel.dll"" is a copy of my personal Sekiro Weapon Wheel rename and chain-load add - copy/paste this in your modengine.ini if you also rename Sekiro Weapon Wheel's dinput8.dll to SekiroWeaponWheel.dll
"Chainloading allows the game to load Mod Engine's dinput8 file, which can then load whatever file is specified in the modengine.ini file."
