CUSTOMIZATION
Switching from ESP-less scriptrunner to an ESP with .ini configuration, allowing you to disable and tweak all the new features listed below.
OPTIONAL TIMED BLOCKING/PARRY
Blocking less than a second before being struck by a melee attack parrys the blow, nullifying all damage.
Optional repeatable challenge and misc stat "Attacks Parried" to track and reward those perfectly timed blocks!
Optional "Turbo" buff, which triggers a short slow-motion effect after successfully parrying an attack.
OPTIONAL RESTRICTIONS
Optionally prevent characters with a crippled right arm or who do not meet the Strength/Skill requirements of their weapon from either parrying/attack cancelling. Can set a minimum global skill requirement, so characters will not be able to parrying/attack cancel with Fists immediately.
The default AP cost of attack cancelling is also much higher to discourage spamming, but can be tweaked.
Description:
Inspired by the old Block Parry and Cancel Attack mod for Oblivion, SMAC allows interrupting melee/unarmed swings by blocking. Blocking just before a hit will also nullify the damage. This improves the effectiveness of blocking and flow of melee duels, making defensive play more active and rewarding.
Default Settings:
- Must have 25 points in the relevant combat skill and pass your weapon's Strength/Skill requirements to cancel attacks (50 skill points to parry)
- Attack Canceling cost 20 + (Your Weapon's Weight * 2) in Action Points
- Parry Window of .25 seconds
- Crippled arm check is off by default.
- Turbo buff off by default. It's loads of fun but a little OP.
Compatibility:
- Compatibility with kNVSE and replacer animations (can't guarantee they'll look good)
- All melee and unarmed weapons are supported, including weapons from mods
- Does not touch vanilla records
