About this mod

This mod adds hitstop for melee weapons, by slowing down gametime to .1 for a few frames, then restoring it. Sounds still play normally, and the frame delay before returning to full speed is configurable.
You can also have a small image modifier applied with some blur to make the effect more prominent.

Overview:
This mod adds hitstop for melee weapons, by slowing down gametime to .1 for an amount of time, then restoring it. Sounds still play normally, and the time before returning to full speed is configurable.
You can also have a small image modifier applied with some blur to make the effect more prominent.
The amount of time for the slowdown is user configurable. The default value is tuned for ~60 fps.
You can configure the mod from inside the game. Put "call HitstopHelp" into the console (without the quotes) to see the commands to change things via the console. These commands will write to your ini, so you can perform all your configurations from in the game and see them saved permanently.

Version 1.0 Video

Requirements:
JIP LN, xNVSE, Johnny, the usual stuff.
yGTM is required.

Installation:
Regular installation.
Reset your ini options each update.
Please endorse and vote for the mod if you like it.

Compatibility:
This only applies when a weapon in the WeaponListMeleeAll weapon hits something. If a mod-added weapon doesn't add it's melee weapons there, this effect won't occur. Mods that don't do so are providing you an incomplete experience anyway.

Limitations:
There's no GIF preview because my gif exporter maxes at 33 fps.
Automatic melee weapons are disqualified automatically, because they look terrible.

Bugs:
If your time slows permanently when you hit something, you're not up to date on yGTM.

Questions:
Can we get this effect on guns?
Idk, maybe, probably not. It's doable, but I don't really want to.
Can we have this affect unarmed?
Already does. Unarmed is functionally a linguistic subcategory of "melee", so I didn't feel the need to specify that it applies to both.

Clavyn did the imods for the visual effects.
Mr. Shersh updated the scripting to provide the option to disable NPC hitstop.
yvile updated yGTM/JAM to fix the issue when I asked about the interminable slow mo! Thanks so much!
