FNV CLEAN ANIMATIONS | Marksman Carbine

FEATURES
  • Complete re-animation for the Marksman Carbine and its variants.
  • Gameplay-friendly.
  • Three attack variants.
  • Includes AimIS and AttackIS animations, in case anyone wants to apply these animations to a scopeless variant, or use a "true scopes" mod.
  • Includes custom animations for the cut "Extended Magazine" weapon mod, in case you have a mod that restores it/makes use of those meshes.
  • Includes two different locomotion options:
    • A version blending Hit - Locomotion and my custom locomotion for walking/iron sights locomotion (featured in the video).
    • A version with no locomotion, allowing you to choose from the various locomotion sets out there.

DESCRIPTION
I just felt compelled to do this, because weapon models like this are generally fun and easy to do. I tried to keep in mind this is a late game weapon, more-or-less, and so with that comes the idea that your character is more skilled and efficient in handling the weapon. Moreover, you'll often be scoped while using this weapon. As New Vegas allows you to reload weapons while scoped in, I tried to think of a reload that would be logical to pull off while still aiming through the scope.

The result is something that is, perhaps, a bit more Call of Duty-esque than I originally intended it to be--but I still find it to a fun, satisfying, and punchy animations that gets across that your character is more confident in combat/with handling firearms.

If you need to pull the Extended Magazine animations for anything, they're located in the "meshes/AnimGroupOverride/Rock_MarksmanCarbine/1stPerson/mod1" folder in either of the main files.

Otherwise, cheers.

REQUIREMENTS

IRON SIGHTS ADJUSTMENT
The iron sights may be misaligned. This is very easy to fix.

1. Ensure that you have ISControl Enabler installed.
2. Ensure that all of this mod's requirements (above) are completely up-to-date.
3. Use a baseline iron sights alignment mod, like Vanilla Iron Sights Realligned.

In most cases, nothing more should be required from you other than this. :)

However, it is possible that with some weapons, the sights may still be misaligned after completing the above steps. In this case, you have one more step, which is to simply follow the instructions on ISControl Enabler's mod page for re-aligning sights in-game. It is extremely easy, and only takes a couple of seconds. I have also posted an image here with the most relevant control underlined for your convenience.

When I release my animations in packs ("parts"), I will have them bundled with a custom ISControl.ini to simplify the install and avoid senseless overwriting.

RECOMMENDED MODS
