ABOUT

Beautiful Cities of Morrowind is one of the best and most comprehensive city overhauls for Morrowind. It touches on nearly every town and settlement in vanilla, but its changes to some are minor and leave a lot to be desired. One example of this is Ald'Ruhn, where the base mod only adds a few new buildings to the temple and is focused primarily on clutter and interiors. This could be disappointing to fans of RandomPal's earlier mod Ald'Ruhn - Seat of Power of House Redoran, which adds dozens of new buildings with NPCs and radically overhauls the Manor District. So far, they haven't been compatible; this mod is my attempt to change that.

Inspired by DetailDevil's similar mod for Sadrith Mora, BCOM Plus - Ald'Ruhn Expansion is designed to expand and enhance Beautiful Cities of Morrowind's take on Ald'Ruhn. Its main module is a fork of Ald'Ruhn - Seat of Power that's compatible with and requires the latest version of BCOM. All edits to the temple and conflicting interiors have been removed, and many buildings have been rearranged to play better and be more consistent. I've also swapped a few of the hut models with unique variants from Tamriel and OAAB Data for more diversity, one of which includes a custom-modeled interior created by me. On top of this, forks of Zzarcon's two quest and shop mods - Of Gems and Geodes and Of Bones and Barbarians - that have been fully patched are included as optional plugins. In the future, I plan on making additional patches and addons for clutter, dialogue and quests, as well as recreating the SoP LGNPC Ald-Ruhn patch that isn't available to download.

All of these mods combined turn Ald'Ruhn into the sprawling metropolis it was always meant to be.

- Tweaked City Layout that's more faithful to vanilla
- New Redoran hut exteriors and interiors, courtesy of TD and OAAB.
- One custom hut interior mesh, modeled by me
- Some additional exterior clutter and lighting (inspired by Lights Ald'Ruhn).
- includes compatible versions of Of Gems and Geodes,  Of Bones and Barbarians, and Mandas Manor.
- Landscape compatible with Vanilla and Red Mountain Reborn - No Patches Required
- Patches for Animated Morrowind, Imperials Go Home and more included.
-BAIN packaged Installation
- Cleaned with TES3CMD

REQUIREMENTS

-Beautiful Cities of Morrowind (Bigger Skar Version)
- Tamriel_Data
OAAB Data
- Patches for Imperials Go Home and Remiros's Groundcover require meshes and textures from their respective modpages.
- All other modules and patches in BAIN require BCOM and the core mod to work.

Using all 3 modules is highly recommended. The city's layout and pathgrid were redesigned with them in mind.

COMPATIBILITY

If any mod for Ald'Ruhn has a patch for BCOM, be sure to use it.

- Red Mountain Reborn - Fully Compatible. I've covered up all the landscape gaps I could find with rocks and other objects.

- Scribs and Rats - Finest Quality  Fully Compatible

 Sloads and Slavers   Fully Compatible

-BCOM Ald-Ruhn Outdoor Merchants Addon - Fully Compatible. A patched version is included as an addon, and the main module's pathgrid and landscape have been tweaked to accommodate them. You must replace the esp in the BCOM patches FOMOD with mine.

Imperial Stables Compatible if you load it ABOVE this mod. Otherwise, you're run into some nasty landscape issues around Fort Buckmoth.

- Taddeus' Foods of Tamriel - Mostly Compatible. I've removed some clutter and tweaked the pathgrid from SoP so it's more compatible with its new hut, but you could encounter pathgrid issues with it.

Devilish Rocky Red Mountain - Somewhat Compatible. There is a bit of clipping with one of my mods trees, but they seem to play fine together otherwise.

BCOM Vanilla Skar Option  Fully Incompatible

Ald'Ruhn Architecture Variety - Fully Incompatible, but it's Rat in the Pot module is now Fully Compatible

All other Ald'Ruhn exterior mods are likely [color=red]Fully Incompatible. Let me know of any issues you find with any of them, so I can list em' here and see if a patch is doable.

LOAD ORDER

    - Beautiful Cities of Morrowind.esp
    - BCOM_Pathgrid_reset.esp
    -BCOM Plus - Ald'Ruhn Expansion.ESP
    -Of Gems and Geodes.ESP
    -Of_Bones_and_Barbarians.ESP
    -MandasManor.ESP
    -BCoM_AldRuhn_Outdoor_Merchants.ESP

KNOWN ISSUES

- Some users have reported landscape shears outside the south gate going towards Fort Buckmoth. This might be a load order issue, as I'm not getting any on my end, but I plan on looking into it further.

- RR Better Redoran Architecture might be a soft requirement, as some people have had issues with Scar without it. I can't say for sure if that's the case yet, but I'd recommend using it just to be safe.

FUTURE PLANS

- More patches and Fixes
-A module for a decent player home mod for the city
-Expanding the city outwards even more
- More clutter, where appropriate
-New shops and farms
- Changing some of the Schedules of the new NPCs from SoP so they don't stay in their homes doing nothing all day.
-Additional dialogue, quests and other miscellaneous flavor.
