MODS OVERVIEW

These are various edits I originally made to the Coalesced file, but updated so they are made to the SFXGame.pcc file and compatible with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.

These mods are for LE1. Available mods are as follows:

Improved Mako Handling: Improves a variety of Mako stats to improve speed and handling.
Spoiler:
Show
Makes changes to the Mako to improve handling, speed, exploration, and power. Adds a gyroscope effect when the Mako is in the air and limits angular velocity to keep it stable when moving forward. Drive the Mako the way it was always meant to be driven.

Includes an optimal option that pushes the Mako to its limits without going overboard and two incremental options that are closer to Vanilla.

Provides options to increase the camera FOV in increments of 5 up from Vanilla ranging from 75 to 110.

Note: The FOV used in the mod options is related to the default camera, but different cameras had their FOV settings updated relatively. The example below shows the FOV 75 and the FOV 110 file to give an idea of how the stats update:

Vanilla   >>   FOV 75   |   FOV 110

Show
Makes changes to the Max Inventory stats to increase capacity for Credits, MediGel, Grenades, Salvage and Inventory Items.

Note: These edit the base max values, so for things like MediGel and Grenades where you can buy upgrades, the upgrades will stack on top of the base max.

Vanilla   >>   Modded

1.0.1 - Added a no MediGel and no Grenades option for anyone who wants the other inventory bonuses without a competitive advantage.

More Global XP: Increases all experience gain. Stacks with More Vehicle XP.
Spoiler:
Show
Increases the global experience gained by a few optional percentages. Intended to help people more easily reach the maximum level.

Note: This will stack with More Vehicle XP Gain.

Vanilla   >>   Moderate (10%)   |   Intermediate (50%)   |   Extreme (100%)

Default__BioPlayerSquad
  • Global Experience Modifier:  0.22    >>   0.35   |   0.82   |   1.43

I tested this by defeating three enemies on foot and in the Mako on Sharjilla. The percent gains outlined above should be approximate but are not perfect. Here are the XP results of the testing:

Base   >>   10%   |   50%   |   100%

XP Gained
  • 41   >>   45   |   61   |   82
  • 103   >>   114   |   154   |   206
  • 115   >>   128   |   172   |   230

More Vehicle XP: Increases the experience gained for combat in the Mako.

Vanilla   >>   Moderate (10%)   |   Intermediate (50%)   |   Extreme (100%)

Default__BioPawnBehavior
  • Vehicle Experience Factor:  1.0    >>   1.1   |   1.5   |   2.0

1.0.1 - Updated the options to 10%, 50%, and 100% to be more balanced.

Immediate Dialogue Wheel: Eliminates the delay on the dialogue wheel displaying.
Spoiler:
Show
Eliminates the delay on the dialogue wheel displaying. If you click through one line at a time, you should immediately see if an option is available, and it will reduce accidental selections. Works for controller and keyboard. Offered as a compromise to make skipping dialogue easier compared to having to do keybinding updates through Coalesced file replacements.

Example: if you are pressing "X" to skip through a conversation, if there is a dialogue option at the end of the current NPC line, the dialogue wheel will display immediately instead of on a split-second delay.

Note: This does not change any keybindings for skipping vs. choosing dialogue, so if you are just mashing skip to get through the conversation, you can still make a selection.

Vanilla   >>   Modded

Default__BioConversation
  • Show Replies Offset:  2   >>   20
  • Show Last Line Offset:  5   >>    0

Defeated Enemies Remain: Greatly increases the amount of time that defeated enemies remain in the over world.
Spoiler:
Show
]Increases the amount of time that defeated enemies remain in the over world. Includes three options for one minute, five minutes, and ten minutes.

Vanilla   >>   One Minute   |   Five Minutes   |   Ten Minutes

Default__BioPawn
  • Corpse Cleanup First Attempt Time (s):   5   >>    60   |    300    |    600
  • Corpse Cleanup Attempt Retry Time (s):   2    >>    30   |    180   |    300

Shop Price Changes: Options to make shops cheaper or more expensive.
Spoiler:
Show
wo options available to make buying/selling easier or harder. Option 1 makes buy prices lower and sell prices higher so you get more money and need to spend less. Option 2 makes buy prices higher and sell prices lower, which in my personal opinion helps balance the game better for mid to late game when you can sell casual upgrades you find for tens of thousands of credits.

Additional edit to increase the amount of items stored for buy-back from shops.

Note: Shops have different discounts or price hikes, so price changes will display differently depending on the shop but will stay within the defined Min/Max ranges.

Vanilla   >>   Cheaper Shops   |   Expensive Shops

Default__BioSFHandler_Shop
  • Default Sell Price:  15%     >>   40%   |   10%
  • Minimum Sell Price:  15%   >>   25%   |   5%

  • Maximum Buy Price:  100%    >>   90%   |   120%

COALESCED EDITS

The below edit(s) can be installed using ME3Tweaks Mod Manager. However, please note that while the manager installs the change, all it is essentially doing is replacing the Coalesced.bin file in your BioGame\CookedPCConsole folder. Because of this, any Coalesced edit I post here will not be compatible with any other Coalesced edits that you have made previously or that is posted here. It is why I went through the effort to make so many SFXGame.pcc edits as merge mods. However, there are still some things that due to the way LE1 is written cannot be done as mergemods.

Anything posted here will have a Read Me included in the file to explain how to manually make the updates so you can make your own compatibility patches. See the Backup & Restore section Uninstallation on how to restore. Do not download and install this without first having made a backup through ME3Tweaks mod manager. See the Help guide within the application for more information on how to complete this.

New Skip Conversation Keybindings: Adds additional buttons and keys to skip forward in conversation to avoid accidental dialogue choices.
Spoiler:
Show
This mod adds four new keys - two for PC and two for console - that you can use to skip ahead during conversations. This does not remove the existing buttons, so Spacebar and the X button can still be used for PC and Controller, respectively. However, using Spacebar or the X button can still select a prompt. The below buttons cannot select a prompt.

New PC Keys
  • Right Mouse Click
  • Escape

New Controller Keys
  • B Button
  • Right Bumper Button

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Open ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.
  • In the top menu, go to Backup & Restore, and click "Restore."
  • Under Mass Effect (Legendary Edition), choose the game path from the drop-down menu.
  • Click "Restore this target."

The Backup and Restore option is the only way to uninstall a Coalesced edit.

Note: Using the backup and restore option will completely uninstall all mods for the game. This is only available if you have previously made a backup of your LE1 game. If you have not, the only way to uninstall is to verify files through Origin or Steam or delete the game directory and re-download.
