About this mod

Exclusive MAKO upgrades for N7 operatives. More powerful engine, and improved suspension system.

This is a (partial) port of my N7 MAKO mod for the original Mass Effect game.

FEATURES

  • More powerful engine: Increased base driving speed and better climbing abilities.

  • Improved suspension system: A few tweaks to the suspension, which are less necessary than in the original game, but still useful when driving at larger speed.

OPTIONS

Boosting the engine tends to make the Mako less stable and a bit more difficult to control (for some people). One of three options can be selected during installation:

  • Tourist. Enjoy the views with a moderate engine boost, which will get you wherever you want to go faster than in vanilla, but without sacrificing control and stability.

  • Default. A good compromise between speed / climbing abilities and control / stability.

  • Racer. For experienced drivers only. This version cannot climb everything, but almost (with proper use of the rear boosters).

If you are feeling supportive, you can buy me a holiday cabin on Nodacrux

TIPS

  • With the versions of the mod that have a stronger engine boost, keeping the foot/finger constantly on the gas pedal is not necessarily a good idea. Learn to lift it at the appropriate times for a smoother driving experience.

  • The rear boosters can be a big help while climbing steep slopes, but they don't do much if the Mako has already slowed down too much. Use them before the slope kills any momentum.

INSTALLATION

Install with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.

  • Drag and drop the compressed (.7z) mod file for N7 MAKO into the Mod manager window, and import it.
  • Select the N7 Mako mod in the Mod Manager library list (for LE1) and click "Apply Mod".
  • Select the desired option (Tourist/Default/Racer).

Uninstall with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.

  • Go in Manage Target (for LE1), then click on the "Modified basegame files" tab.
  • Restore SFXGame.pcc.
  • Obviously, this will also remove any other modifications of this file by other mods.
