MOD UPDATE IS DONE FOR KC:D Patch 1.4.1 DOWNLOAD NOW!
NOW AVAILABLE IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE! (credits to KE7ZALCO4TL) (not updated for 1.2.1 and later)

What this mod is about

This is a combat overhaul mod, that changes combat mechanics to a more realistic feel. This mod changes armor and weapons values to a more realistic setting. You'll no longer 1-hit kill your plate armored enemies. Plate armored enemies were a force to be reckoned with in medieval times, and with the reworked golem perk you'll actually be more intimidating to your enemies in your plate armor. This mod enables shield skills and perks, polearm skill, and adds other various perks into the game. AI have a courage value now that affects their morale.

Sick of the old vanilla perks? Have a try at these new hidden perks, reworked perks and some vanilla perk fixes! All immersive and logical, without breaking the game!
Tired of enemy mobs just standing around in groups? That's no good, we crave for realism! More aggressive AI!
Enemy captains running away too easily? Not everyone is born a soldier, and that's why we need varying morale. We don't need cowardly captains!

OPTIONAL FILE

  • Modified the AI's equipment durability to a more realistic feel. Increased the base durability for most people and also changed the range for the randomness of their equipment's durability from the base. (e.g. Soldiers should have higher base durability since they maintain their equipment and have more access to better quality equipment, also increased cumans base durability since they were quite low from vanilla)

INSTALLATION

Extract the contents of the zip in your game's Mods folder. If you don't have one create a Mod's folder under your KC:Deliverance default installation folder.

GOALS
The goal of this mod is to make combat as realistic as possible, or at least as close to making it realistic but at the same time still fun to play with. If you're bored 1-hitting plate-armored enemies during the mid-late game then this mod should solve that for you. This mod changes armor values to have realistic values, armored enemies will be harder to kill if you keep on hitting their armored parts only.
