The STALKER themed overhaul mod changes every aspect of Into the Radius. If you want a quick overview, please watch the video below, otherwise scroll past the video and read the "general notes".




GENERAL NOTES:
  • Loot generation allows for a store-less playthrough.
  • Every item can spawn anywhere (give or take), rewarding exploration.
  • Every NPC can spawn everywhere in the game, but is weighted for proper progression.
  • NPCs have had AI, Health and Damage adjustments.
  • NPCs now have variable stats, meaning two of the same NPCs might have different amounts of health.
  • Weapons, their stats and their upgrades have all been changed.
  • Small weapons like SMGs and Sawed-off Shotguns can be placed in the bag.
  • New custom upgrades for some weapons.
  • Ammo types and their roles in the game has been changed.
  • The economy has been massively overhauled with no security levels.
  • Military Helmet has been replaced by the Altyn Helmet for increased VR interactivity and unique gameplay. (Thank you Extremerecker)
  • New weight system, making lighter loads faster and heavier loads slower, all without making it painful to go from point A to point B.
  • Customizable difficulty with every option being built for this mod, along with 3 presets being "Reduced", "Normal" and "Nightmare". (Normal is the Intended Difficulty.)
  • Water is now more dangerous with a risk of drowning.
  • You can fall slightly farther and the fall-damage curves are safer.
  • Tide comes every 23 hours (by default) but time is slowed 2x slower than normal. (Thank you Saedriss)
  • Firearm wielding Mimic NPCs have new voice lines from STALKER.
  • The Harvester is back, with some new tricks.

IMPORTANT:
  • You will need to start a new game if this is your first time using the mod. Old saves are not recommended with the mod. Trying to use this on an old save will result in all of your weapons breaking.
  • There is a very good chance that this mod is not compatible with other mods on the Nexus. Things like reskins or remodels of weapons will work, the Winter Mod should work, but anything that changes the game's scripts, stats or properties will likely not work or require a patch to function properly. 


  • Mods that should be compatible: Reskins of the player, reskins/remodels of items and weapons (that don't change any stats), sound mods. Note that any mods when combined with this mod will overwrite conflicting files. This enables easy "compatibility", but could break some features of stalker mod if too many files are overwritten. A correction: The Fog increase/decrease mod should work. In the readme, I said it won't work properly but this was incorrect.  


  • Mods that will not be compatible: Any mod which makes changes to item's prices, durability or weight will not be compatible. Any mod which makes changes to enemies health, AI, or stats will not be compatible. Any mod which changes the helmet is only compatible if you use the No Altyn Helmet Patch. 



INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Place STALKER-Version-x-x_P.pak in "Steam\steamapps\common\IntoTheRadius\IntoTheRadius\Content\Paks".

WARNING: This should be (in most cases) the only mod you have installed. Other mods will overwrite the functionality from this mod. Combine with other mods at your own risk. 
(Also, do not delete pakchunk0-WindowsNoEditor.pak)

FAQ:
Does this work on quest 2 standalone? 
At this point in time it is not possible to mod quest 2 standalone. 

Can I have X feature added or from the mod?
Short Answer: No. Keeping multiple versions of mods is a real pain. In many cases, you can get around it by adding another mod. 

Enemy Spawns are too hard:
Install Weighed Random Enemy Spawns alongside stalker mod for a randomized enemies experience far more in line with vanilla difficulty.

Things not working:
-Enemy drops. Couldn't get it working in a way that isn't broken.
-New Menus.


  • 1.04.Hotfix1 2023/01/17
-Fixed a critical issue with silencers. Silencers were set to be destroyed upon hitting 0 durability, but this would delete the entire gun. This has been fixed in the hotfix. (Magazines will not cause this issue.)

-Nightmare presets set back to what it was intentionally meant to be.
-Thanks to SolBreaker, there are now Monolith voices for Mimics.
-Ratio for ammo prices has been changed, making cheaper ammo cheaper in bulk, while expensive ammo saves less than before when buying in bulk.
-Fall Damage Curves reset to -1000 instead of -1200 (could survive too large falls with no damage).
-Sliders now spawn from the Harvester at a rate of 15 to 25 seconds instead of 45 to 90 seconds, which caused the Harvester to be too passive. Reduced Slider count to 2 from 3 (max).
-Shotgun Mimics have damage doubled from 55/75 (spread out over pellets) to 110/150 (spread out over pellets).
-Health variation increased for all NPCs, causing them to be significantly less predictable. Their average health will remain mostly the same (with the AKM mimics getting a slight nerf), but the amount of health they have will be changed.
-Increased melee damage for melee enemies.
-Decreased AKM Mimic damage, way too strong previously.
-Harvester rotates faster.
-NPC loot chance added (new feature).
-Stamina usage increased from 1.75 to 2.5 usage for 60+kg sprinting, but speed of sprinting increased as well. This is to fix sprinting being slower than walking, but still massively discouraging it.
-Monster generator spawn time reduced from 180 to 30, massively increasing their danger factor. (Pervomay is 60 seconds and Bolotky is 45) (Some have a timer set to 90, these have been changed to 20)
-All loot decreased by roughly 50% in the Loot Array in GameConfig.
-Removed guns and magazines from stashes, as well as stash notes
-All guns and magazines will disappear at 0 durability, which should frankly never be reached anyway.
-Regen in hub reduced from 50% condition to 25% condition (its free)
-Changed velocity, ammo properties and durability values for firearms.
-Changed prices for mid to high tier firearms and magazines and attachments.
-Changed ammo prices. Summary: Expensive calibers are now more expensive, cheaper calibers are cheaper. This creates a large separation between premium and normal ammo, to prevent the player from getting so much good ammo that it doesnt matter anymore.
-Cleaning supplies made more expensive.
-Reduced the durability increase for chrome-lined-parts upgrade.
-Changed some upgrade costs, suppressor mounts are now cheaper while the suppressors themselves are more expensive
-Decreased durability of equipment like detectors, probes, ect
-Fixed mosin surpressor description (to not say mosin in it)
-Map weighs 0, this will in theory do nothing but I believe there may be a bug related to the map causing you to have more weight on your character that is impossible to drop.
-Flares were buffed to be an extremely valuable tool in your night-time aresonal, rather than being completely useless. They are extremely good at providing visibility at night for a decently long period of time.
-Price of flare increased to 250 with new name and description.
-Firearms now have new values for running accuracy and one-handed accuracy. Small guns such as Pistols and SMGs are now significantly better one-handed. --medium caliber rifles (5.56, 5.45) are better at moving and shooting, with slight differences based on weight one-handed. Heavy calibers are significantly worse at this.
-All gun volumes adjusted, along with enemy perception changes. Enemies now see farther, but have a narrower FOV. Hearing radius is cut in half, but some guns are over twice as loud to compensate. Pistol calibers and silencers should be more effective for remaining relatively undetected.
-Grenades are now shrapnel based rather than "explosion" based. This will potentially lag weaker computers, but there are several advantages, such as not getting killed through walls nearly as much, a larger blast radius, ect. They are more dangerous based on line of sight.
-Buffed slider health.
-Altyn increases noise coefficent by 0.5.
-Further decreased the chances of high-tier armored enemies spawning in Pervomay. (They can still spawn though)

  • 1.03 2023/01/03 (happy new year)
-Rare Artifacts now sell for more money.
-Weapons of the same caliber have their damage closer together.
-Mimic PM and Spider now do slightly more damage.
-FMJ and AP Ammo has been buffed.
-FMJ, AP and P+ have had their costs increased to create larger separation between calibers.
-Subsonic and Surplus ammo has been buffed to be more appealing.
-Lowered the amount of AKM and Armored enemies in Pervomay Route.
-Lowered the amount of armored enemies in Bolotky Village slightly.
-Lowered Shotgun Mimics in every area except Pervomay as they are largely ineffective to most players.
-The Harvester has been changed. They will now be scarier.
-The walk speed of 50kg+ has been buffed.
-The sprint speed of 50kg+ has been nerfed.
-Shotgun spread decrease now also slightly increases muzzle velocity.
-Buckshot damage modifier lowered from 133% to 125%.
-Buckshot velocity modifier increased from 0.35 to 0.65, making it better at longer ranges.
-The AK74U, SMG's and Sawed-Off Shotguns will now fit in the backpack.
-Cake and Cake with a Candle has been added to the shop.
-Grenades and Melee has been buffed. (Be careful with those grenades).
-Healing Injector buffed to give more health.
-Fix the loot-tables using the wrong Groza and using the Groza Scope (both don't work properly).
-Added some guns to the red crates, which previously didn't have any.
