About this mod

Full rework of the looting system to make a shop-less play-through viable. (2.7 compatible)

Permissions and credits
Changelogs
Description :

Full rewrite of every loot table in the game in order to make every weapon and equipment obtainable in the Radius.
Weapon, ammo and equipment spawn are tied to the map, higher tier loot spawning more frequently in later maps.
Some weapons will even have some pre-existing upgrades.

The goal is to allow the player to rely exclusively on random loot.

I highly recommend starting a new game and trying to play with the Shop disabled, this is what the mod is balanced for.
Playing with the Shop disabled gives you a chance to find rare variants of existing weapons while in the Radius.
(sadly they look identical, can't do anything about that)

During installation you will be prompted to choose between two presets, read their description carefully.

Latest version is 0.12.0

Balance changes (Shop Disabled) :

With the player being forced to make do with what is found, the base balance of the game doesn't always play out in compelling ways.
Ammo Changes :
  • 5.45x39 FMJ / 5.56x45 FMJ : Armor penetration raised to 65%
  • 9x18 AP / 9x19 AP / 7.62x25 AP : Damage penalty removed and velocity increased by 30%
  • 7.62x54 CHP : Damage penalty reduced to -30%, armor penetration raised to 70%
  • 7.62x51 CHP : Damage penalty reduced to -30%, armor penetration raised to 70%
  • .357 CHP : Damage penalty reduced to -30%, armor penetration raised to 75%
Weapon Changes :
  • SKS : Base damage raised from 45 to 52

  Installation :
I highly recommend installing using Vortex, as it will allow you to get updates automatically.

or

Download manually and follow the README instructions.

If you use it in an ongoing save you will need to let a Tide go by for it to take effect.

Compability :
As of 0.8.0 the mod will conflict with any mod changing item or weapons name, stats, descriptions.
You can avoid this conflict by not disabling the shop, but you miss out on rare weapons variants, etc.

Full compatibility :

Weighed Random Enemy Spawns
Carry Primaries (in your backpack)
Chuck's Custom Items (Read instructions on the mod's page)

Known conflicts :
Free Shop Cheat
Kimber 1911 Mod
Weapon Rebalance

Sal's Weapon And Suppressor Rebalance
Stalker Themed Overhaul Mod

Uninstallation :

Delete the .pak file.

Frequently Asked Questions :

Can you change the spawn frequency of silver/orange crates ?
No. This is handled by parts of the game code that are beyond our reach with the current tools.

Can you change fixed stashes ?

Same as above.

Can you make weapons spawn with upgrades ?

As of 0.6.0, yes.

Can you make it so equipment in red condition can be repaired ?
No, to compensate I make it so nearly every spawned item is either in yellow or blue condition

What are the "rare item variants" ?
These are copies of existing items with changed names, description and stats. They sadly have to use the same models as their original version and so are undistinguishable from them by simply looking at them. Hopefully when proper mod support comes, I will be able to improve on this.

I can't find [Item], surely something is wrong.

Sadly this is the issue with true randomness. And I cannot do anything about it. While some people will never see a certain item despite doing 10 raids in a map, some will complain that they came back of a single raid with 3 of said item in their backpack, and that it is "too common !".
