Immersive Main Menus replaces the dull vanilla main menu with a selection of 18 dynamic backgrounds, each showcasing a different location from across the Commonwealth. Every menu includes optional ambient audio for added atmosphere.
The mod features full RandomMainMenu support, letting you experience a new background each time you launch the game. It also comes with a FOMOD installer for easy customization, plus optional individual downloads if you prefer to stick with a single look.

Here is how one of the menu replacers, Sanctuary Creek, looks in-game:

- 18 meticulously crafted backgrounds.

- Each background comes with it's own ambience track.

- Hassle-free installation and extensive customization options with the FOMOD installer.

- Support for 16:9 and 21:9 Displays.

- Multiple volume options for those who want a more subtle or more pronounced ambience.

- Individual downloads available for all replacers that include Random, Standard and Ultrawide settings.

- Optimized for 16:9 and 21:9 displays – other aspect ratios may cause stretching or distortion.

- Steam Deck compatible
(standalone versions). Randomized versions should work too, as long as F4SE is supported. Note: Linux support for RandomMainMenu may vary, so results can depend on your setup.

- Fully compatible with Fallout London.

- Works with both old-gen and next-gen versions of the game.

- Compatible with all other mods. Other menu replacers will simply overwrite this one. (Unless they support RandomMainMenu)

- Safe to install or remove mid-save.

- Want to add your own menus to the random pool? Just rename them like this:

Before:

mainmenuloop.bk2

After:

mainmenuloop_yournamehere.bk2

Install with your mod manager of choice, or you can manually install to the \data folder.

Q: Does this mod work on next-gen version of the game?

A: Yes. It works on both versions of the game.

Q: Will there be a console port?

A: Randomized main menus are not possible due to F4SE limitations. I am unsure if you can change menu backgrounds on console. If someone figures it out, feel free to make a port.

Q: Will there be a 2K or 4K version?

A: No. Too much effort to maintain for diminishing quality gains and larger file sizes.

Q: Can i suggest a location?

A: Yes, you can leave a comment with a suggestion.

Q: Does this mod support ultra-wide displays?

A: Yes, it supports the commonly used ultra-wide aspect ratios.

Q: This mod broke my game! What do i do?

A: No, it didn't. This mod only adds video and audio files to replace the vanilla ones. RandomMainMenu uses F4SE which makes it practically conflict-free. If you are certain this mod is causing issues, I encourage you to open a bug report.

To reduce startup issues, you can use the No Bethesda and S.P.E.C.I.A.L Intro mod by Meatbag101, which skips the startup intro videos by replacing the video files with empty ones, so it is a less hacky and invasive method.
If the music still doesn't change, try adding these lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini:

[General]
SIntroSequence=1
fChancesToPlayAlternateIntro=1
uMainMenuDelayBeforeAllowSkip=1

These settings will re-enable the Bethesda and S.P.E.C.I.A.L intros if they were disabled. If you have intros disabled, you might bug out the base game and have the default music play no matter what.

Don't want the new audio but already have the mod installed? Just remove this mod's mus_maintheme_example.xwm file from the directory where you installed it!

How can I make something like this?:

I made an article that roughly goes over what it takes to make a mod like this.
