About this mod

Build high above the city from atop Dartmouth Professional. Default is rooftop only, alternative option covers the whole tower, top to bottom.

Put this mod near the bottom of your load order
Most of the skyscrapers in the commonwealth aren’t suitable for settlements due to having quests or other delicate features.
But not this one, it’s totally safe to use. So I decided to make my own version of this unique spot.


Features
  • 3 Different Buildspace Options, described below
  • Intact Precombines
  • Light Weight, ESL Flagged and no BA2s
  • Fully Navmeshed, including a working elevator NPCs know how to use
  • Custom Settlement Borders that perfectly match the build space
  • Full Functionality such as attacks that spawn on the ground & use the elevator, minutemen quests, raider quests, recruitment, provisioners, and so on.
  • The small interior cell at this location was turned into an interior build space with player home functionality. Everything inside is scrappable. Fast travel out from inside the cell is enabled.
  • Map marker takes you to the top.


Buildspace Options
  • Default, covers the rooftop as well as a few meters down and outward, allowing you to build structures hanging off the edge.
  • Extended, covers the entire length of the skyscraper from the top to bottom. Settler sandbox is the same as default, ie just the roof and a bit off the sides, because large vertical sandboxes can confuse settler AI.
  • Experimental, covers the entire length of the skyscraper and extends the settler sandbox all the way down as well. Settler AI can be unpredictable as a result.

Option is chosen with installation menu. I haven't encountered any issues swapping between them mid game.
Save somewhere far enough away that the Skyscraper's cell isn't loaded before installing or swapping versions.

Compatibility
  • SS2 Compatible.
  • Alt version made for use with PRP. Use instead of default file.
  • Compat patches for Radium Inc, Wild Key Chase, and Echo - An Employment Adventure in Misc section. Works with any version.
  • Doesn't work with Zorkaz's version of this location of course. Main differences are larger build area(Default is bigger, extended is much bigger), a working elevator NPCs can use, the small interior being given a buildspace, and no added gunner camp up top.
