About this mod

A number of settlements have dead zones due to some of their cells not having location refs. This mod gives them those location refs. All-in-one and individual versions. ESL Flagged.

Place high in your load order.

Dead zones are the reason vendors wont speak to you in certain locations, guards will ignore a post, farmers wont tend to crops, and settlers wont sandbox as they should. Fortunately this is easy to fix by giving these cells the settlement's
location ref.

However settlement location refs turn off respawns in their associated cells. There are two ways around this that I've found, and I've uploaded a file of each version.


Files, all ESL flagged.
  • Maximum Coverage, uses custom Encounter Zones that behave as vanilla to tell the couple of affected NPCs, Items, and Containers to respawn as usual. Conflicts with Encounter Zone Recalculation and other mods that alter the way Encounter Zones work. Mods that add more encounters are fine.

  • Maximum Compatibility, leaves out any cells that are populated by more than wild plants making custom Encounter Zones unnecessary, but covers less area. This means it does not conflict with Encounter Zone Recalculation. The differences are laid out below.

  • Vanilla versions of both
  • User's Choice FOMOD installer to individually pick settlements.

Taffington Boathouse includes the UFO4P fix as well as 2 cells it missed. It does not conflict with UFO4P.
Hangman's Alley's fix is identical to and does not conflict with UFO4P. It's mostly there for those who don't use UFO4P.

Other Compatibility:
- Maximum Compatibility version can be easily patched into most mods by dragging the Location Reference from its cells to those of the mod. There's a quick tutorial in the screenshots.
