Requirements
Permissions and credits
Donations
Bethesda never Played a Game with a Controller, and the MCM also dont let us set Controller Buttons as Mod Keys and because of this we Controller Players have to suffer

but fear not, i have the Cure

Please read the Entire Description otherwise you may get Confused

First things first this will require my steam controller setup to work, if you dont like Steam check out my other Mod ,  it also has mod support but way less and without combo buttons ,its your loss (dont worry i dont have abandoned it)
The steam Controller setup is Linked in the Installation instructions

2 Hours Playtested from me (Xbox One Controller)
and Playtested from another person as well who followed the installation instructions (Xbox 360 controller)

Mods are Covered so Far

Everthing else is also supported just read the description to look how to assign them ingame
Also no need to have all of them installed but its recommended

I have Two versions for Slide user and Tactical animation extension package user
Multiplicated by Two for either XDI and non XDI user

Overview of The Core Controls
  • A = Jump
  • B = Sneak
  • Y = Activate
  • X = Reload
  • Select = Pipboy
  • Start = Menu
  • L1+R1 = Vafs
  • L1 = Modifier
  • R1 = Melee
  • R3 = Toggle POV
  • L3 = Sprint

Overview of Modkeys and Hotkeys
  • L1 and R1 while Aim = Lean Left/Lean Right
  • L1+Select = Wheelmenu
  • L1+Start = Quick Modification Weapon
  • L1+R1 = Vafs
  • L1+R3 = Vafs Crit
  • L1+Dpad L/R/D/U = Quickkey 1-4 (1-6 is Horizontal Favorite Column aka Left to right)
  • Double click L1 = Stim (quickkey 7) (The highest favorite)

Different Version Controls

XDI Version
For Compatibility with Extended Dialogue Interface
  • DPAD  Left and Right = Quickkey 5 and 6 (the both far right favs)
  • B = Sneak AND Slide (for XDI user)
  • DPAD Up and Down = Open Vanilla favorite

Non XDI Version

No Sliding at all version XDI
Same as XDI but
  • Compatible with both XDI and non XDI user
  • no more sliding, use it if you are a low ender (because of delays), experience bugs related to sliding or just dont want to slide at all

  • XDI user have double click B unlocked = Set MCM Hotkey to i (i cant imagine someone would use it)

Protip
its better to press the keys while you are holding L1

Questions you might have so far
Spoiler:
Show

WHY STEAM CONTROLLER CANT YOU JUST MAKE 1001 SCRIPTS
  • Because those scripts drive me crazy they will lead me to Harakiri someday
Bruh whats with this button combo nonsense
  • If you dont like it check my other mod
Why Splitting things for XDI and non XDI?
  • Because of avoiding Bugs
Why you say Uneducated shooter support? It works with Controller!
  • But it wont supress any buttons unless they are dpad buttons from my knowledge, means if lean right set to r1 with ads only you will still do a punch, with my mod it will not happen because i added a highly complex formula within steam controller
Slide or TAEP?
  • One or the other, personally i would say Slide has more functionality while TAEP looks better

DO NOT touch the keybinds (MCM in particular) i covered unless you know what you do (means you readed my instructions for my "older" mod and know exactly how my steam controller setup is functioning)
Reason
Spoiler:
Show

because some mcm keys are hardcoded to controller buttons and when you alter them it will NOT be restoreable anymore unless you redownload and follow the installation instructions again (without steam step)

Set the Controls ingame to default after installation

Installation Instructions

It wont work on a new save only on an existing save and only if MCM was previously installed
I recommend to have the covered mods also previously installed

Download my file and let NOTHING overwrite one thing of it

special notes to Mo2 user
Spoiler:
Show

Mo2 user will have to copy the mcm folder from my mod in the overwrite folder Replace anything (keybinds.json in particular) if asked

Special notes to Vortex user
Spoiler:
Show

Vortex user may want to copy the mcm folder from my mod in their MCM mod mcm folder Replace anything (keybinds.json in particular) if asked and deploy again. save changes if asked
Or
Copy the MCM folder
Close Vortex
Go to Fallout 4/Data and overwrite the existing folder, Replace anything (keybinds.json in particular) if asked, by next vortex opening save changes if asked

Special notes to NMM user
Spoiler:
Show

NMM dont know maybe something similar like Mo2 or Vortex sorry never used NMM but NMM users have to download the versions in the optional section for correct file pathing

Open this link (nexus dont let me mark it as link)
steam://controllerconfig/377160/2819945625
You may or may not have to open big picture first
Enable this setup in steam, dont forget to activate steam controller for fallout 4 (and maybe steam overlay too)
Go Ingame
Set the controls in settings to default (hard required) to let my mod take changes and to prevent weird controls
Have Fun!!

Incompatible Mods

Notes to Toggle Aim
Only the recommended controlmap version is incompatible, however the mod author has a solution provided as readme.txt to edit your controlmap to make things work, i suggest to read it and tweak my controlmap carefully based on his instructions
