Known Issues - List of any known issues or conflicts with other mods.

What do the green buttons above do?

Track: Click this to add the mod to your tracking list if you want to know when more content is added.
Endorse: Click this if you enjoyed the mod!
Add Media: Click this to add (non-nude) images to the images section, or a play-through video to the videos section.

There's a green "Forum Thread' button near the top of the page that lets you search all the comments for particular words. We also have a Discord server where it's much faster to get answers (see "depravity-pv-oar-fcr" thread).

Your keyboard has a 'Ctrl' button in the lower left. From the main mod page, you can hit 'Ctrl F', and that will bring up a search field. Type a word into the search field, hit 'Enter', and the screen will move to the place(s) where the word is.

If you see a glitch or mod conflict that is repeatable on a non-corrupted save game, please report it in the bugs section (if not your post will get moved there), or on Discord, and provide as much detail as possible when reporting an issue so it can be addressed quickly and efficiently.

If your post was moved to the bugs section, please check the notification icon at the top of your screen under "Updates", which will link you to the bug thread.

GROUND RULES: Posts already covered on the main mod page and Articles sections, plot spoilers, political comments, reposts, sh*tposts, trolling, whining, abnormally dense instances of retrospective determinism or propositional and syllogistic fallacies, cries for attention, and posts otherwise in violation of Nexus Terms of Service will get deleted. If you leave a re-post about not being able to find your comment because you aren't reading this, you risk getting blocked. Trolls will be immediately blocked from this and all related files.

Thank you in advance for being cool, keeping the comments section useful, and allowing us to spend more time developing content.

Huge thanks to all the folks who helped make this project a reality. There's no donation button, but if you would like to support the mod, endorsements are appreciated, as are screenshots in the images section if you've got good ones (non-nude and not too skimpy, in respect of the sensitive users on Nexus). Enjoy!

Gentle reminder to have a look at the sticky post above before posting, e.g. when the question you're asking is answered in the post that is directly underneath yours, and the topic is also already answered on the mod page and in the Articles as well, posting again is not going to accomplish a whole lot.

The green "Forum Thread" button above will let you search all the comments for key words. Also, your keyboard has a 'Ctrl' button in the lower left. From any Internet page, you can hit 'Ctrl F', and that will bring up a search field. Type a word into the search field, hit 'Enter', and the screen will move to the place(s) where the word is.

Happy to help with questions about this mod, but assistance with general modding questions, overly vague questions, or errors in other mods you've downloaded that affect things completely unrelated to this mod, is beyond the scope of what we do here. There's a Modding 101 article if you need help with that stuff. Also a Discord server.

I just want to say "thank you" for being so thorough in the pages for this mod on issues. I had assumed that I did have 1.21 of OAR installed, but realized I didn't once I read that that would be the reason why Wag the Dog didn't start. So again, thank you for making sure that info is out there for the people, I love your stuff and it's been great fun playing through.

Hi everyone. I just dropped by to say thanks to those of you who read the sticky post. And if you haven't, check it out. Seriously, it's an amazing sticky. Full of great sentences. And words. It has words too. The best words really, that I can tell you. Also sentences. It has some terrific, repeated sentences. You'll never get bored reading the sticky. Believe me, it's fabulous... you'll never get bored. That's why it's stickied, so people can read it.

Maybe you don't want to read the sticky post? Perhaps you don't like being told what to do? And you figure if you keep scrolling, you'll eventually get to the good comments, to the "real" comments? It's okay, nothing to be ashamed of... we all have that urge. But unfortunately, the sticky post is as good as it's going to get.

It's like that first hit of cocaine- the surge of activity in the brain's addiction center, creating a memory for the high. And so you keep scrolling through the comments... pages of them, but you'll never recapture the feeling of that first high- the one that blots out the memory of all the disappointments that follow, and pretty soon you abandon everything else in your life, reading thousands of comments to get that one last fix... until you reach the end and hit rock bottom. Trust me, I know. I've read all the comments.... it only goes downhill from here.

But it's not too late for you- you can still turn back. You can still scroll to the top of the page and read it again. The top sticky post is the cure for your ails.

    Q&A:

Q: Will this entire page eventually be sticky posts?
    A: Anything is possible.

Q: Why are the comments sometimes locked on Sundays?
A: In honor of Short Bus day.

Q: What are some best practices when installing large mods?
    A: There's a ten-step process:

    1) Download and install the mod, either manually or with an outdated mod manager.

    2) Skim the mod page if you must, but skip the sections about installation and required files.

    3) Find a save game where you’ve installed and then uninstalled dozens of mods mid play-through, preferably one with a file size over 100MB. Bonus points if it has broken scripts clogging the Papyrus log from all the porn mods you're running.

    4) Leave an initial comment asking a couple questions already covered on the mod page.

    5) Load the game.

    6) Once your game crashes, head to the mod page and leave a bug report about the mod being broken, but don’t post it in the bug reports section. Double-check that your comment contains at least two inaccuracies and an impractical request for additional mod features.

    7) Wait for your bug post to get moved to the bugs section, and leave a second post in the general comments complaining about how you can’t find your first post. Then launch into a rant about how mod authors are lame for trying to suppress criticism and they’re only in it for the money.

    8) When the mod author or another user attempts to help you, say “I already did that and it doesn’t work”. Then expand on your rant from step 7. Be sure to use profanity this time and include more requests for features that are either impossible or already contained in the mod. Bonus points for direct insults and/or creating a second user account so you can agree with yourself in the comments.

    9) Repeat until your comment is deleted or a Nexus Moderator bans you.

    10) Head to Reddit FalloutMods or Discord and make defamatory, racist, or threatening comments about the mod, mod authors, Nexus moderators, and free mods in general.

    11) Make a new user account and repeat steps 1-10 above until the Nexus Moderators identify the duplicate IP address and ban you again.

Q: Hey, that was eleven steps, not ten.
    A: You're still reading this?

Q: People don't really do that kind of stuff, do they?
    A: They do.

Q: So I read somewhere, I think it was on Reddit or something, that _______. Can you verify this is compatible with ______ and also how do I _______. Great mod BTW, sorry I haven't read all the mod page yet or the comments, lol.

A: As much as there's a genuine desire to help, responding to posts full of inaccuracies or a fundamental misunderstanding of how mods work is rarely productive. Other users tend to chime in and make fun of you, so don't take offense if your comment gets deleted to protect your online dignity once the flame war starts. There's a Discord community to assist with basic mod questions.

Q: You used to be so polite and helpful. What happened?
A:Try releasing five DLC-sized quest mods for Fallout/Skyrim and then reading + responding to the comments, death threats, stalking, personal attacks, racial slurs, harassment of voice actors, etc. It will change your worldview.

Q: What factors determine whether a new sticky post gets generated?
A: The algorithm generates a new sticky post at the earlier of 1) Two consecutive racial slurs or similar trolling, or 2) Three comments in a row already covered on the mod page.

Q: What do you mean “the algorithm”?
A: I'm actually just a bot programmed by the real Thuggysmurf. When someone asks a question already covered, a random number generator determines whether to ignore, delete, or respond to the question with a link to where the answer is already posted.

Q: What else does the algorithm do?

A: It blocks cantankerous users. Please read and think carefully about what you are writing before posting. You will likely receive help if you're genuine, but at the first hint of anything remotely trollish, you will be blocked not only from this file, but from all related ones as well.

If you have any doubt as to whether what you're writing will mistakenly receive the ban-hammer, take the comment over to the Discord server instead, where an actual human will definitely read it. Trolls will not be engaged at all via Nexus, they will just be blocked without any opportunity for second chances. This is free content, and there's no need for racial slurs, death threats, incessant whining, or throwing shoes. Who throws a shoe? Honestly!!

Q: Easy on the Kung-Fu death grip there. I’m not here to cause trouble, just wanted to say thanks and/or offer a reasonable suggestion.
A: Thank you, your support is much appreciated.

    Q: What's a Forum Thread?
A: There's a green "Forum Thread' button near the top of the page that lets you search all the comments for particular words. We also have a Discord server where it's generally faster to get answers (see "depravity-pv-oar-fcr" thread).

Q: How can my keyboard help me find information?
A: Your keyboard has a 'Ctrl' button in the lower left. From any Internet page you can hit 'Ctrl F', and that will bring up a search field. Type a word into the search field, hit 'Enter', and the screen will move to the place(s) where the word is.

Q: I have a question not covered in the mod documentation and would like a quick answer.

A: Try the Discord server. There are thousands of members, so you're more likely to get an answer within minutes there vs. days or weeks here. This comment section is also searchable via the "Forum Thread" green button near the top. Your keyboard has a 'Ctrl' button in the lower left. From any Internet page you can hit 'Ctrl F', and that will bring up a search field. Type a word into the search field, hit 'Enter', and the screen will move to the place(s) where the word is.

Had to lock down Depravity's mod comments a few days ago due to reading comprehension issues. Didn't want to do it for Project Valkyrie, but now that school is out, reality is we're going to lose this battle. Sorry. There is a sticky post. It has words and links in yellow that answer questions. Lots of effort went into the documentation to answer all your questions.

Incidence of people not reading the mod page rises dramatically when schools or summer activities are not in session. The idiot-to-normal user ratio on Nexus is too high right now, and I've had my fill of people expecting me to read the mod page for them and then tell them what it says. No interest in becoming a COVID-19 babysitter. Got other things to deal with at the moment.

Comments are locked. Discord server is open if you have questions. Thank you and best wishes.

I just want to express how thoroughly impressed I am at this level of quality in a free mod. I am definitely donating or something, because I would feel guilty to have played and had so much fun without giving something back for the effort and passion put into these mods!

You can make a special patch for an additional mod superlaser- https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43215 to Prime shot from an enlarged version of this super laser with damage similar to the nuclear bombs thrown by it - this will not violate the existing total damage (either bombs or superlaser)

I have a small request the next time you update. Can you change it so that codsworth starts wandering around sanctuary hills after you first meet him instead of after you complete the quest "out of time." until you complete that quest, he stays in the same spot and gets in the way of settlement building

Wow that explains so much. I turned Cogsworth into a synth, but as a Mr. Handy he would just float around but now he just stands there.

I know this mod has nothing to do with codsworth. I'm saying his vanilla behavior is to not move until after you complete "out of time." At that point he, becomes available as a companion and starts behaving like one. Since a good number of people playing your mods are going to skip or put off the vanilla minutemen quest line, I though it would make scene for project valkyrie (or maybe outcast and remnants?) to change codsworths behavior so he isn't stuck in that one spot in front of your house in sanctuary hills

Despite the really... uncomfortable character spoken section, i can't help but love this mod, especially since i basically love having Valkyrie around. Amazing work with all the mods, and honestly wish there was a way to take care of the PC spoken parts, so it wouldn't sound so weird sometimes. I mean... one moment i sounded serious, then i was cheerful, then sympathetic. It's almost as if WE should've been a patient at Parsons... the schizophrenia is no joke...

I don't know if somebody already asked, but i have a question

This mod allows you to run the institute and do your stuff, from what i got, but does it also allow a brotherhood-institute truce in some way?

Posted this elsewhere, but realized it would do more good here:

I hope some future mod (maybe from Thuggysmurf?) will have Ariane Vai as a voice actor. She played the marvelous Zora Fair-Child in Interesting NPCs. Her voice would be nice to hear in Fallout 4. Perhaps she could play a Breton lass who was banished to the hellish world of the Commonwealth for bringing Sheogorath the wrong cheese. "Aye, lassie, you say Eidar but I say neither. Be gone to Boston with you!"

Sure, if she wants to voice something, would be happy to incorporate that. Haven't interacted with her before - have only seen that YouTube mod review series she used to do.

Clock is ticking though on shelf life for new Fallout 4 quest mods. I'm only doing one more. If Starfield is announced in June, and if it has official mod support, the FO4 player base will take another huge dive upon Starfield release, and most mod development resources will switch over to that game. Not to mention all the people who will abandon FO4 for Cyberpunk 2077 this fall. Any big quest/story/new land mod not released by the time Starfield and Cyberpunk are out has a high probability of becoming vaporware or D.O.A.

Wow, that is a bit of bad news for the Fallout Universe.

Does Starfield and Cyberpunk 2077 have the essential requirements of:
      1. First Person?
      2. God mode, clipping, add items, etc... through the console commands?
      3. Ability to add mods beyond just ReShades?
      4. The necessary microtransactions that we all require. Will Starfield be able to sell us sufficiently shiny laser guns and compelling Horse Armor. Will the mods be through the Creation Club?

If so, that sounds good. Looking forward to all your future efforts.
