FO3 Extra Hotkey Interface and Toggle Previous Weapon

You now have two sets of weapon/items hotkeys. For example, use one for guns and the other for medicine/armor. Also you can switch between current weapon and last equipped weapon like "modern" games

Instructions
It's pretty simple. To use the second hotkey set, hold the mod key while adding or selecting a hotkeyed item. It will appear in the same place the regular interface does. To toggle  between equipped and previously equipped weapon, press the hotkey or use the scroll wheel(If selected in the config file)
Requires ButcherPete version 1.5 Minimum

Extra Hotkey Interface Demo

Controls

  • All controls can be changed in the config file.
  • The config file can be found at Fallout 3\Data\Config\HotKeyModifier.ini
  • A file with all the possible gamepad and keyboard bindings will be in the config folder.
  • The below controls were decided based on generic ease of use and key availability.
  • In-game and in-pipboy interface keys can be the same if you want.
  • Weapon switch key can be any key or the scroll wheel

Keyboard
  • Pipboy Hotkey Interface.            [Default: Spacebar] Recommended: Spare mouse button. See optional downloads
  • In-game Hotkey Interface.          [Default: B]        Recommended: The same spare mouse button. See optional downloads
  • Weapon Switch                          [Default: C] Optional: Mouse scroll wheel

GamePad (Gamepads can use the keyboard config if you can bind keyboard keys to the buttons)
  • In the pipboy.              [Default: LB]
  • In-game.                     [Default: A]
  • Weapon Switch         [Deafult: Hold LB]

From using the mod myself, I'd recommend changing the config to use LB for the in-game hotkeys and RS or LS for switching weapons

New Toggle-Previous-Weapon Function info:
like in modern games, you hit a key to switch to your previous weapon. Hit it again to go back to the other weapon. Updates when you equip weapons.

Keyboard Users:
  • Key can be binded to whatever
  • By default, it uses "C" as the key.
Scroll Wheel Option
  • There is an option to use the scroll wheel. You may need "bNoScrollwheelPOVChange = 1" from lStewieAl's Tweaks, or disable in the fallout ini.
  • In the optional downloads there is a preconfigured config file that uses the scroll.

Gamepad Users:
  • If you use xpadder-like software or Steam key binding, you can use the keyboard keybinds for the keyboard users.
  • You can hotkey any gamepad button(Default is LB). With LB, You hold LB to switch weapons. This allows the camera toggle to work when tapping LB.
  • If you don't care about the camera toggle, the is an option to disable the key fully. Tapping LB will change weapons but will also disable camera toggle.
  • You can keybind any button but it's recommended to only use RB, LS, RS, or View button. The effects on the button will be the same as described for LB
  • In the optional downloads there is preconfigured config files for the hold LB option and the tap LB option.
