Q: The mod is not working, some menus are still not covered after installation. A: Place Dear Diary at the very bottom of your mods load order in Mod Organizer 2, or let Dear Diary overwrite everything in Vortex.
Q: White texts in inventory menus. A: Some of your mods has the file "interface\skyui\config.txt" in it. Let Dear Diary overwrite everything or read the description page, compatibility section.
Q: There are no pictures in the MCM. A: Update to the latest Dear Diary version, open the config file "interface\deardiary\config.txt" and set bMCMImages = true.
Q: Have a problem, using Vortex mod manager... A: Please consider switching to Mod Organizer 2, thank me later. If not, just let Dear Diary load AFTER any other mod. If some of your mod has the file "interface\skyui\config.txt" in it, the please read the description page, compatibility section.
Q: Can I install this manually? A: I strongly recommend not to. In such case you will overwrite the Enderal interface files (they are presented in loose form in this game) and then the only way to uninstall this mod will be by recovering installation in Steam.
New mods supported in the 3.0.5 update: Quick Loot RE - works in Enderal SE Wheel Menu (UIExtensions) - the wheel menu is already included in Enderal SE, you don't need to install UIExtensions. Prosperous Alchemist SE - works in Enderal SE Forget Spell - works in Enderal SE The latter two mods will be detected in game automatically, you don't need to enable anything in config.txt file. As well as already supported Extended Hotkey System (corresponding config.txt option removed as not needed anymore).
Thank you, they both work like a charm! I'm glad to see this mod hasn't been abandoned. Now I just need to find a way to have the inventory load properly... the other issues I can ignore (tutorial prompts still in Skyrim black, map icons not turning beige, etc.)
Edt: Got the inventory working by installing SkyUI - note that while SkyUI is included in the Enderal Steam release version, this is not true for the ModPub version 2.1+, leading to this issue. So make sure have SkyUI installed properly if you run into the slow inventory problem. This mod is excellent and in fact completely essential for me to get properly immersed in Enderal. The default leatherbound booklet is a bit too plain, but combined with the Ancient Stone replacer it really makes the UI feel like that of a standalone game rather than a mod.
This is such a fantastic, unique oblivionesque UI mod that you have made, good sir. Is there any chance for polish language letter compability for this? Some letters are replaced with squares. Thanks.
I'm not sure if it's a bug, but the menus take like over a second to open, is there a fix I can implement? The 3 bars at the bottom show up and then it's like it's loading for sec.
Hello, which version of SkyUI do you install for this? I cannot seem to be able to find one for Enderal SE, but Dear Diary for Skyrim SE does indeed seem to have SkyUI as a dependency, so that would explain why this doesn't work properly without it either. If so, that should be clarified on the mod page!
It's a real shame because I love the concept, but as of using the latest Enderal SE, there's a lot in this mod that doesn't seem to work. Menu prompts look squished on 2560x1440, tutorial prompts are the old Skyrim style as does the character creation, the inventory takes a good three seconds to load, etc.
Silly question maybe but how do I change the size of the inventory pane? Without the mod the vanilla inventory screen is normal sized but this one gets squished and I can't read anything. Everything else (journal, map, title menu etc) bar the inventory and dialgoue prompts work.
For now I've just switched those parts off in the mod install. I've tried looking into settings, different options during mod installation, moving it around the load order in MO2 etc but no luck.
This fixed it for me: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/107216?tab=requirements&file_id=477717 Something broke with some of the latest useless Skyrim updates.
This fixes the squishing of the inventory and magic menu but for some reason the Hero Menu is tiny, which didn't happen when I used this mod with the steam version of Enderal.

To fix Hero Menu from being small, need this mod under misc files:

1.) Make sure you are selecting SKSE SCRIPT EXTENDER launch from vortex,. not just launch game
2.) Install "Address Library for SKSE Plugins" if above does not fix issue.
The 3 bars at the bottom show up and then it's like it's loading for sec.
I assume Fix for hero menu issue was for fixing that but it's still small

Otherwise love the mod!
