Permissions and credits

Hello! This mod is a product of my boredom, curiosity, and fondness for Fire Emblem hairstyles.

Version 1 of hair inspired by Masked Marth from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem Heroes. I am new to modding so this will only be available to EF for now... at least, until I figure out how to port it for HF and DF. When I do, I will update this mod to accommodate the races. I hope to release HF and DF ports at the same time as v1.2 or v1.3 if I am successful. Please pray for me. Unfortunately, I have a lot of university related things to finish at the moment so I can't promise anything until mid to late December.

Due to issues with the mesh, an HF/DF port is currently not possible as I have to manually morph it for them, which will take a long time and could look different; same goes with porting for HM/EM/DM. I deeply apologize to everyone waiting for an HF/DF port in this update. :(

Now, brace yourself for an overly detailed(?!) description because I like to be very thorough and informative. ^^;;

Compatibility
- This hair mod is not compatible with mods that change the same hair mesh as this mod (hair q in the dai hair compendium).
- Compatible with both Skara's and fontofnothing's hair retexture mods.
- Compatible with No Sideburns - No Receding Hairline mod, which I highly recommend using together with this mod.
- DLC compatibility untested.

- Hair should now look floofier
- Fixed some hair chunks
- Bottom back part of hair should now be showing
- 85-90% of the wrinkles have been ironed out

Troubleshooting
Black Emporium Crashing/Not Loading
So you want to change your Inquisitor's appearance but the Black Emporium loads infinitely or it crashes. It's okay. It's normal. It's been an issue for years. I got your back, friend. As far as I know, the Black Emporium does not load when appearance mods are installed. I don't think there are any guides that I know of that has a step-by-step process on how to vanilla your game without deleting and re-merging your merged mod folder so you could access the Emporium, so let's make another one. If anyone else has a more efficient workaround, please send them my way so I can link it here! This is the only workaround I know. It's a little tedious but it's all we have at the moment. :( A visual guide will come as soon as I am able.

  • Move (or copy) the merged folder to desktop (if you copied it to desktop make sure you delete the merge folder from the update folder) so you don't need to re-merge it after using the Emporium. Where you're saving doesn't matter as long as it's *not* within the Origin folders.
  • Go to Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update, and edit the package.mft file by opening it with notepad. Change the version number from 12 to 13 so your save files would load.
  • Open the Emporium and change your character’s hair/appearance.
  • Save and exit DAI. **Note: I prefer to go back to Skyhold or another area to save before exiting the game just to be safe.**
  • Move back your merged folder to the Update folder. (Path: Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update)
  • Edit the package.mft file (the one you edited earlier from path: Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch) again and change back the version number to 12.
  • That's all! Just reload your character and everything should be fine. You can read more about this issue here.
