About this mod

This mod extends Grey Warden of Ferelden by NeoKingArthur to be used in Awakening and is recommended to be used alongside "Orlesian Warden Appreciation" by Shanamah . It also updates the warden staff and Duncan & Avernus's arms & armour.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This mod is part of my attempt to bring continuity to the game, alongside my other mods "Equipment Edits and Tweaks" & "Mage Equipment Update". The downloads are modular, so you can pick and choose what you want.

The primary focus is to update the starting equipment of the Orlesian Warden to match the armour and weapons found in Grey Wardens of Ferelden (GWoF) mod by NeoKingArthur. As well as a few other miscellaneous updates. With the new "Orlesian Warden Appreciation" by Shanamah (Orlesian Warden Appreciation at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)), I've updated this mod to include the UTCs from that mod, with permission from Shanamah.

For Thedosian users, see Grey Warden Armors by exotique:  Grey Warden Armors at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)

I've included some integration based of their mod, but it is not tested.

Additionally, the mod updates the mage staff model of the GWoF to match Janeka's model from DA2 and the Senior Warden Staff from Heroes of Dragon Age, both metal and wood versions available.

Version 2 updates Avernus

Version 2.1 Update to the tint gda found in the Avernus folder. I've included a separate download with only the "GDA" for those who have already downloaded the Avernus file. This was necessary as I expanded the number of available tints.

Version 3 is designed to be used alongside Orlesian Warden Appreciation. The update also includes will a set bonus added to the mage warden and an added set bonus & model swap for rainswept light armour so it may be used with the boots, gloves, & hood from the Grey Warden Light set.

Version 4 expands integration of GWoF for Origins by giving GW armours in game a Warden look. Additionally, adds a higher set of rogue armour and mage robe & hood to the Warden vault. The reason for this is I wanted the initial armour given to the Warden to be low-mid tier equipment, so I adjusted the proprieties and set the tier to 3. This way, the armours found later in game are actually important. I like the look for the Warden Commander Armour from the DLC, so I left that alone. To avoid uploading a ton of pictures, I've included a miscellaneous download that show proprieties and updated descriptions. I've adjusted some of the Awakening Wardens starting weapons as well, a small boost; nothing insane.

Version 4.1 - Small fix to the corrupted commander armour; I combined the bonus of both Legion of the Dead and Hurlock Vanguard sets together. I also fixed Ruck's store; I restricted the ability to buy only one set of the armour from him. Additionally, I have a compatibility version for users of Awakening in the OC expanded.

Version 4.2 - Fixes the issue of wrong variation number on the magus war boots, included in updates download section.

Version 4.3 - Fixed incorrect Guardian file; delete folder from main file and replace with this. Also, uploaded new version of each version of GWoF to include fix.

Included in this mod:

Awakening Armour

The Warden armour received in Awakening has been give GWoF look, the proprieties have not been adjusted. However, tiers have been adjusted for rogues and mages only; this is to take into account of scout armour being medium and arcane armour being light.

Mages - All equipment adjusted to inscribed leather; this means the Magus War Boots goes down one tier.

Rogues - Chest piece is silverite, while hood, boots, and gloves are drakeskin. This represents the mixed nature of the rogue armour.

The staff given to the Orlesian Warden is given the same model, but does not give option of wood staff as it is specifically stated to be dragonbone. It's only a model change, everything else is kept the same.

Duncan's Sword and Dagger fixed

Changes the tier of Duncan's sword and dagger found in Return to Ostagar DLC. Duncan's sword is now silverite and Duncan's dagger is now dragonbone. I have also included an instruction on how to get Duncan use the correct dagger model during the ritual, this requires two essential mods: "Goblet de-Gobbler" by Ashhawk (Goblet De-Gobbler - a Joining chalice fix and more at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)) and Dall's Weapon Rescale by Dall (Dalls_Rescaled Weapons at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)) as well as bugfixes by Ashhawk: Bugfix for Dall's Rescaled Weapons - Starfang and Maric's Blade at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)

The reason for this change is that the wrap on the hilt matches those tiers.

Updated Warden's Oath

I've updated Warden's Oath with the following stats:

+4 Constitution
+6 Defense
+2 Armour
+10 Mental Resistance

This combines the stats from Darkspawn Chronicles and DA2, with a bit of balance (+17 defense would be a bit much in Origins).

DLC Darkspawn Chronicles, gives the Grey Warden Longsword the model from GWoF.

Riordan has been modified for his different appearances, including in "Darkspawn Chronicles".

Avernus update (Now included in main file)

I've included two options for Avernus equipment

Instead of the equipment change found in the GWoF, I've changed the model for Robes of Avernus to Grey Warden Mage Armour. To go with this, I've equipped him with the same gloves & boots that the Orlesian Warden gets. He still wields the GWoF mage staff.

The alternative version puts him back in regular robes using commanderstrawberry's model swap (robes of the void) and a blue tint to make it look like a Warden robe. Additionally, he is equipped with the other following items: Charged Mitts / Fade Striders / Heaven's Wrath (chosen so the staff model matches what he wields in Heroes of Dragon Age)

Both versions drop only his unique robe as per the original intention and retain the set bonus when used with grey warden boots & gloves or Elementalist's Grasp & Magus War Boots.

Aeducan Mace

Gave it +1 Strength and +0.5 armour penetration alongside its normal benefits. Swapped the model to a GW one.

Effort Armour

Effort Armour has been given the Warden Commander model. Berghen's Honour can be interchanged with Duty and you'll retain the set bonus.

Grey Warden Helmet (generic) and Griffon's Helm

Both have been given the Grey Warden heavy model. The generic helm has been given +5 physical resistance.

The Guardian of the Ashes

Because he wears Griffon's Helm as part of his ensemble, I have given him a unique helm that retains the original look of the griffon helm. I've also swapped his heavy maul for a unique silverite Warhammer (same proprieties as spiked maul).

Wardens' Vault

I've included an elite version of the scout armour (same proprieties and set bonus as the Awakening Warden gets). Same again for Warden Mage armour and Cowl; these combine with elementalist's grasp and magus boots with +5 set bonus and -10% fatigue.

This is so the basic equipment you get during the ritual may be upgraded.

All warden longbows have a new model from LCF; Absolution from DA2 as it's from the Anderfels, the home of the Wardens.

Riordan

I've updated all the appearances of Riordan. I removed the hood in his initial encounter, it just looks strange. He has full set during the climax. I've also included one from Darkspawn chronicles.

Alistair Epilogue

I've just put him in effort, with duty in his pack. Meant to be for those who want a Warden Alistair.

Compatibility patch for Wardens' Joining: Wardens' Joining at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)

I've included a GDA file to replace the one for individual companions from Shanamah's Wardens' Joining. The only change is to give Oghren heavy armour verse commander armour.

Thedosian Wardens

I've included a folder for Thedosian Warden users, without my adjustment to the equipment you are rewarded during Ostagar. This includes all the changes to equipment. I don't run with this mod, so if you find issues please advise and I will try and fix it. I triple checked everything, but I might have missed something.

I've also included a GDA for GW medium helmet to use 178 variation number.

Optional

Because my other mod changes the appearance of the sword Oathkeeper, which Duncan uses in the intro, I've included a new sword and UTC for Duncan. This matches my changes to Duncan's Sword and Dagger.

For those who prefer Duncan to have the sword and daggers model introduced in GWoF, I've also included an optional change to the sword and dagger found in Ostagar.

Recommended

Due to the number of quality re-textures of the Warden armour, the only recommendation I will make is Warden Armour Texture Tweaks by AzureWitch (Warden Armors Texture Tweaks at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)). This fixes the leather issues and can be used in conjunction with other grey warden textures.

Goblet de-Gobbler by Ashhawke: Goblet De-Gobbler - a Joining chalice fix and more at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com) If this isn't in your mod list, it should be.

Blighted Warden Armour of the Sentinel: Blighted Warden Armor of the Sentinel at Dragon Age: Origins - mods and community (nexusmods.com)

I'll like to thank the following:

NeoKingArthur and TMP7704 for the original GWoF mod
Shanamah for honouring a Warden's Sacrifice with their mod "Orlesian Warden Appreciation" and giving me permission to create a compatibility patch.
