About this mod

Enables V to become addicted to consumables such as MaxDOC. Adds additional immersive challenges in the gameplay through additional debuffs and effects.

✅ Compatible with patch 2.12a / Phantom Liberty.

Permissions and credits
This mod adds an addiction system to Cyberpunk, keeping track of V's consumptions over time : addiction slowly increases on consumption, and slowly decreases whenever resting. Whenever V is addicted and stops consuming for an extended period of time, (s)he can also experience withdrawal symptoms with specific consumables.


Like in real life, V will never completely knows how much (s)he is addicted to a certain consumable... until it's too late.
In-game hints are provided though, so listen to the signs chooms ...

⚠️ A complete description of the mod's gameplay mechanics can be found in the book but let me warn you that it will ruin any surprise that this mod has for you. People who want an immersive playthrough and discover its subtleties should refrain from reading it.

Here's briefly what it does:

💗 Healers

a.k.a MaxDOC, BounceBack and Health Booster.

All the healer consumables lose potency as long as V's is seriously addicted.

for example an uncommon MAXdoc usually restores 40% health: it will only restore e.g. 30% when V gets addicted to it.

💊 Boosters

a.k.a Stamina Booster, Carry Capacity Booster and RAM Jolt.

All the booster consumables grants the opposite debuff as long as V experiments withdrawal symptoms.

for example, a RAM jolt usually increases max RAM when consumed: whenever V stops consuming for a while (s)he will see her max RAM decreases as long as (s)he doesn't consume some again.

Some stimulants also have other effects of their own.

💀 BlackLace

Withdrawing from BlackLace will have dire consequences: expect many debuffs!

⚠️ Some of additional gameplay mechanics require Wannabe Edgerunner installed.

⚕️ Neuroblockers

Neuroblocker' effects duration will be shorter as V becomes seriously addicted.

⚠️ Requires Wannabe Edgerunner installed.

🍾 Alcohols

Withdrawing from alcohols can trigger Jitters effect, and hinders your ability at aiming with ranged weapons.

⚠️ Due to a limitation, currently only works when consumed from inventory.

🚬 Cigars & Cigarettes

Consuming tobacco too often will impact V Stamina.

⚠️ Requires Idle Anywhere installed.

🦾 Cyberwares

Some cyberwares will allow to get more informations about own's addiction current state. Other cyberwares will greatly reduce the chances of even being addicted at all!

⚠️ Latest patches 2.0+ apparently removed Detoxifier and Metabolic Editor, so part of the previous gameplay mechanics are obsolete.

You can report any bug found on Github Issues, or directly in the Post or Forums here.

  • Both mod files and translation pack files can be just unzipped in your Cyberpunk 2077 game folder.
  • If you install translation pack (e.g. Addicted - English audio files and subtitles), you must also install Audioware to work properly: it will add audio reactions during specific event in-game.
  • ⚠️ Currently adding translation packs in 2 different languages e.g. to have audio played in English while subtitles are in Brazilian is currently not possible.
    If ever it becomes a highly requested feature, I'll consider making the necessary changes to support it.
  • For specific mods managers support for Audioware:
    -Vortex has been requested but it's still pending.-MO2 should allow installation (translation packs include a blanket info.json as a workaround).
