Is it possible to make it so enemies, even ones on the other side of the building, aren't instantly alerted if you destroy a camera with a silenced weapon or throwing knife?
Cameras, turrets, and enemies are often connected to a so-called security system. If you break one, the system is notified and sends an alert to all its members. This is by design. Instead of breaking these devices, you can hack them to turn them off.
Thing is you can hack it, turn it off, and then break it and it'll still alert everyone in the whole map.
I've modded my game to do a throwing knife ninja build with a combat overhaul that doesn't always have access to quickhacks and this 'feature' makes stealth incredibly frustrating, hence a request for a mod to change it.
Hi, in those cases you ping an enemy (or a floodlight) and their group revealed, do you ever notice an enemy highlighted in orange rather than red? Those orange ones (usually a netrunner) are like the group admins. If you kill the netrunner their security is compromised.
Crowd panicked when I tried to open closed door in Tigers underground Casino. Remembered about this mod, installed it and now they stay calm as they should be. Thanks!
seems another one may be needed. The new update introduced a "feature" where the crowd panics if you ADS, doesn't matter if you're ADSing at someone or just the ground. Also, quick meleeing also triggers panic.
Would you expect the nearby crowd to witness it and just ignore you doing it? How would you react to someone suddenly brandishing blades, sweeping them through the air in front of you? Especially someone who appears to be a professional killer?
It is not rare to see people walking around with guns in Night City (a city practically ruled by gangs who walk around with guns all the time). The logic of "how would you feel" doesn't apply here. I would be scared, yeah, because I don't live in Night City (although NYC isn't too far from it XD). If you think that people in Night City truly would react by running and screaming in a mass panic just because someone is *holding* a gun, you clearly don't know much about this game's lore XD. It's very jarring walking around with my gun drawn, zooming in to get a better look at something, then having the crowd react in a panic. I would understand someone freaking out if I ADSed *at them*, but not when I zoom into the floor or a wall. The only difference between having my gun drawn and ADSing with it is that it's *slightly* closer to my face, that shouldn't cause a mass panic, definitely not in Night City. By that logic, if ADSing causes a panic, then walking around with my gun drawn should too. I also never mentioned anything about blades, so idk what that has to do with anything XD. I mentioned quick meleeing which is when you melee with a weapon drawn. In this sense, sure people would react irl. But, this isn't real life, it's a videogame. It kinda breaks immersion if I melee the air and everyone around me foams at the mouth and freaks out XD.
Anyway, point is, this is a new thing and it wasn't in the game before. Before, the crowd would react properly (that is, they would only react if you actually pointed a gun *at* someone). Now, they scatter and scream if you ADS the air, it makes no sense. Either way, was just a suggestion XD.
Well, they introduced many changes to the game behavior in game gen 2, and while one can perceive some of them as bugs, the developer may regard them as fixes or features Anyway, this is something I would rather not try to change as the weapons mechanics (even bare fists are weapons in the game) are a complex system in the game, so changes may introduce unwanted side effects (especially when combined with weapon mods created by other modders), and then it may be problematic to keep it compatible across game versions.
I mean, that's the point of mods, isn't it? To alter/remove features of the game XD? But, yeah don't do it if you don't want to. Though, now that I'm playing more, I'm starting to think I was just experiencing a bug because the people around me don't freak out when I ADS anymore. Maybe this mod already fixes it without meaning to XD.
A bit off topic but I figured this would be the place to ask.
Crowds now panic if I shadowbox (punch the air, in an effort to raise Athletics), which I like to do as I walk from place to place. When I played the game 3 years ago, crowds basically ignored this behavior except in the rare case where I landed a blow accidentally. Now they run for the hills, loudly, with just a single swing, like I fired a gun at the ground.
It would be really nice if I could regain the crowd behavior prior to 2.0 where CDPR made a lot of really bad calls.
Well, when you "draw" fists and start punching even thin air, it's the same as if you started shooting or slashing with blades which should scare crowds around. So logic wise, the old game behavior was incorrect. Probably it's possible to make it similar to the old game, however it's different behavior and part of the game code than this mod covers. Also it may be tricky as there are many activities and mechanics that overlap in this case.
Game 2.1 and Cyber Engine Tweaks 1.29.0 compatibility headsup: due to numerous issues CET 1.29.0 is deemed unsupported. Please update to the CET 1.29.1 at least.

UPDATE: there are still false panic cases in the game v2 that this mod can eliminate.
Thank you all who downloaded this mod and thanks a lot for your endorsements :)

Immersion patch - No crowd panic from stealth activity
Feature update: more false panic device sources patched.
Thanks to AnvilOfWar for reporting Surveillance Cameras
Feature update: no more panic from Arcade Machines and Vending Machines too.
Thanks to OHMAR for reporting Vending Machines.

That said, I use Silent Silencers and Throwing Knives at Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus - Mods and community, Quickhack Fixes at Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus - Mods and community, and Enemies of Night City at Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus - Mods and community (among others, including these Immersion Patch mods) so maybe it's different for me. But I know exactly what you're talking about.
There's lots of mods that will tweak the stealth/detection and such, but I think possibly Silent Silencers and Throwing Knives at Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus - Mods and community specifically would help you

However, there is a typo in the mod title.

A sharp eye I must admit, considering it's been almost a year here, and nobody else has noticed it
I really found it by accident XD

It still resolves issues that occur with some quests.
Confirmed in 2.01.
