Cosmopolitan Night city alter the language spoken by many NPCs.
In 2077, cyberware allows to translate many languages on the fly.
This is the ultimate multilingual experience mod for Cyberpunk 2077 !
Include voice AND lipsync.
Featuring Kiroshi translation effect.
Correct dialogue lenght and correct voiceover mapping.
For Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty.
Compatible with EN-US localization (=english audio) /19 languages are available for subtitles.

==> Which edition to choose?

* Cosmopolitan Night city - "Enhanced edition" and "Lite edition"
  • Change the language of many characters, full list here.
  • "Enhanced edition" is the recommended version !
    "Lite edition" is the same as the enhanced edition, but fewer NPCs are affected.
  • Include voice and lipsync.
    Correct dialogue length (no more speech-cutting issues).
    Correct voice over mapping (no more misgendered issues).
  • Kiroshi Translation effect is now included (in all languages/19 languages).
    Smart subtitles : If "cinematic subtitles" are "off", you have subtitles only when there are kiroshi translation effect ! If "cinematic subtitles" are "on", you have subtitles all time [In-game: Option/Accessibility/Subtitles/Cinematic].
* Cosmopolitan Night city - "Customable editions"
  • Change the language of some characters too, but this is an "older" version of the mod; "less sophisticated but more flexible".
  • There are some "know-issues", no correct dialogue length and voice over mapping (ie, some lines skip too quickly + some NPCs address masc V using feminine pronouns/variants + there are some missing lines).
    And no kiroshi translation effect on subtitles...
  • But It's customizable ! Work with a "fomod" for vortex (it's a mod installer, essentially adds an installation menu, allowing users to choose what they want to install or not). So you can choose if you want Jackie speak spanish or english, if Viktor speaks german or english, etc.
  • Customable editions are compatible with all localizations, just use the appropriate file in the miscellaneous files (more information about localizations here). In Old files, you can find CNC customable for 1.63 en-us Legacy patch users.
  • This edition is finished. I won't update it, I won't fix it, I won't improve it.



Installation:
- Vortex friendly (turn off auto-convert to redmod function).
- Manual install are ok too (use legacy path : <Cyberpunk 2077>/archive/pc/mod)
- Installation/uninstall help here.


About localization:
- Enhanced edition and Lite edition are compatible with EN-US audio localization only (=english audio).
- Customable edition with all audio localizations (just dl the correct file).
- More informations about localizations here.
- The 19 languages are available for subtitles! You can choose your subtitles language in-game [Option/language]


Limits, bugs and known-issues:
- If a subtitle does not exist in Cyberpunk 2077 "vanilla", it does not exist in Cosmopolitan Night city too!
- If some audio dialogue doesn't work, It may be because of your CPU. In-game option, turn off "spatial audio" might help.
- If you find any bug for "Enhanced edition" or "Lite edition", please report in the bugs section.
But if you encounter a bug with the "Customable edition", don't bother.

==> Cosmopolitan Night city has addons:

  • With Change V's native language, you can choose a different language for your V (Brazilian, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish). Featuring Kiroshi tag for all V's sub. With "Smart" and "Adaptive" subtitles and Correct dialogue lenght.
  • With Polyglot V, V speaks his/her native language with most NPCs, but he/she sometimes speaks Japanese with some NPCs (WIP mod - Japanese part is WIP - Spanish part coming later). Featuring Kiroshi translation effect and correct dialogue lenght.
