With "Smart" and "Adaptive" subtitles.
Correct dialogue lenght.
For Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty.
Compatible with EN-US localization (=english audio) /19 languages are available for subtitles.
Choose "CVL Enhanced"
OR "CVL Lite"
OR "CVL basic".
==> Which edition to choose?
- Change V's native Language "Enhanced" and "Lite"
- You can choose the language of your V: Brazilian, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish.
- Include voice and lipsync.
- Correct dialogue length (no more speech-cutting issues).
- V possessed by Johnny still speaks English.
- Kiroshi tag on V's subtitles (permanant subtitles that appear gradually for V's dialogues).
- Smart subtitles: If "cinematic subtitles" are off, you have subtitles only when there are kiroshi translation effect and Kiroshi tag!
If "cinematic subtitles" are on, you have subtitles all time [In-game: Option/Accessibility/Subtitles/Cinematic]. - Adaptive subtitles: Subtitles will be displayed differently, depending on V's language (addon choosen) and the player's language (subtitle language). Look at the video for more informations.
- Change V's native Language "basic"
- You can choose the language of your V : Russian, Brazilian, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish.
- This is an older version of the mod, "less sophisticated but more flexible".
- Include voice and lipsync.
- No correct dialogue length (ie, some lines skip too quickly).
Kiroshi tag on V's subtitles with the patch (in optionnal files)...
But no true "smart" and "adaptive" subtitles system. - But you can choose a different language for fem V and masc V.
And is compatible with multiple localizations; for non en-us localization, look at miscellaneous files.
If your localization is not available, you can request it (read second sticky post).- Russian V is available only for base game.
- V possessed by Johnny still speaks English.
- You can find CVL for 1.63 Legacy patch users in old files.
Requirement:
- Change V's native Language enhanced require Cosmopolitan Night city enhanced edition
- Change V's native Language lite require Cosmopolitan Night city lite edition.
- Cosmopolitan Night city is not require for Change V's native Language basic.
- Requirement is really require !!! If you don't have "Cosmopolitan Night city enhanced/lite" with your "Change V's native language V enhanced/lite", you're going to have issues. At first everything will be fine, but you'll soon realize that the dialogue lenght and the subtitles for many NPCs are broken. Because these are the dialogue lenght and subtitles for Cosmopolitan Night city + Change V's native language, not for Cyberpunk 2077 vanilla. So If you don't want to use Cosmopolitan Night City, use the basic version of Change V's native Language (without translation effect and without correct dialogue lenght).
Installation:
- Vortex friendly (turn off auto-convert to redmod function).
- Manual install are ok too (use legacy path : <Cyberpunk 2077>/archive/pc/mod)
- Installation/uninstall help here.
About Localization:
- CVL Enhanced and CVL Lite are compatible with EN-US localization only (=english audio).
- CVL basic is compatible with all audio localizations. (if your localization is not available, you can request it (second sticky post))
- 19 languages are available for subtitles. You can choose your subtitles language in-game [Option/language]
Limits, bugs and known-issues:
- Localized onomatopoeia (V grunst etc) are not currently included. Because I don't think it's very important, and it breaks compatibility with other audio mods. But I may add them later as optional files.
- There are some missing lines that I definitely can't replace. There are very very few of them. They are muted (but still subtitled) for CVL enhanced and CVL lite. They are in English for CVL basic (but not kiroshi subtitled).
- Russian V is not included for CVL enhanced and CVL lite, because Russian localization does not exist for Phantom Liberty. Therefore, I don't see the point of making it if it's not complete.
- Common" voicelines and subtitles (non-localized audio files, often npcs from the open world) are not modified by my mod. There's already a "multilingual dimension". They are not included in my "adaptive" subtitle system.
- If you find any bug for "Enhanced CVL" or "Lite CVL", please report in the bugs section. But if you encounter a bug with "CVL basic", don't bother.
Compatibility:
- This mod edit the following files, check here; using mods that edit the same files might cause problems. For more details/ for testing, you can use Archive Conflict Checker Tool.
==> About Change V's native language and Polyglot V
- Currently Change V's native language enhanced/lite" are not compatible with "Polyglot V enhanced/lite".
- But you can use "Polyglot V basic" with "Change V's native language enhanced/lite". All you need to do is rename your Polyglot V basic files. Just add "##" at the beginning of your archive files. This would look something like this, for example "###CDT1_PV_....archive" and ###CNC1_PV_....archive".
- To make"Polyglot V enhanced/lite" compatible with "Change V's native language enhanced/lite", 18 different patches are required... So, maybe I'll do them only when I have a complete version of Polyglot V (without missing lines and with spanish part).
Future plans:
- Continue Polyglot V
- Frenchy V
- Engrish V
